Contemporary Wedding Fashion Meets Nature Forward Design In An Art Deco Venue

Contemporary Wedding Fashion Nature Forward Design

I’m kind of a sucker for the nature-forward minimalist vibe. Pair that with contemporary wedding fashion and an Art Deco setting, and signed, sealed, delivered, I’m yours! Today’s autumn wedding inspiration is overflowing with gorgeous juxtapositions dreamed up by planner & designer, Alex Austin Events & Design. Wild grasses appear with structured mod furniture. A more traditional gown silhouette is countered with a flirty party dress for the reception. Clean linens are married with pops of rich change-of-season colors in the textured blooms from Elizabeth Earnest Floral Design. So you can see why we’re kind of obsessed, right? If you love yourself some ethereal mod design sense, get ready to pore over these perfectly captured images from Morgan Franklin Creative for days!

From the Planner & Designer, Alex Austin Events & Design: I love when the venue really drives the theme of the shoot. When I first stepped foot in The Noelle the modern art deco feel that the space exudes was a key inspiration. Mixing that with the golden hues of the color palette was the catalyst that transformed the room into a glowing romantic autumn spectacle.

For the ceremony space, modern airy branches growing from the ground accented the gorgeous windows at The Noelle. Tall lush grasses, paired with those amazing clean modern chairs was a great way to marry the theme of modern meets romantic glam.
The reception table was so much fun to create. I just love the mix of different textures; light and airy florals mixed with the gold angular chargers framed with different types of seating!

Fashion is SUPER important to me and I love being able to show my clients that you don’t have to go with a “traditional” dress and still feel bridal. Also with the trend of having smaller weddings or sequential smaller wedding events, switching your look and having different options is more appropriate than ever. For the shoot, we did a long sleeve modern lace dress with a pearl accented birdcage veil for the brides ceremony look and then a quick change to a short fun frilly number (party pony included) for her reception look!
