One of our tip top favorite holidays is coming up soon — Mother’s Day! We’ll be sending even more love mom’s way, and we love the idea of celebrating with a fun and stylish party as a way of saying thank you. This beautiful shoot from The Happy Bloom and French Knot Studios shows us how to do it, complete with a colorful painted backdrop, sweet floral accents, and an artistic tablescape.
-6 slices of pumpernickel bread
-1 cup goat cheese
-1/2 cup sour cream
-1/2 cup heavy cream
-2 tablespoons olive oil plus a little extra to drizzle
-salt & pepper to taste
-3 ounces smoked salmon
-balsamic vinegar to garnish
1. Remove crust and halve pumpernickel slices. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. Then lightly toast.
2. Add goat cheese, sour cream, heavy cream, and olive oil in a blender, combine until smooth.
3. Spread goat cheese mixture on each toast point. Add a little salmon, and lightly drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
