We’ve got a treat for everyone today, literally and figuratively! It starts off with this beyond-beautiful bridal inspiration shoot from Audra Wrisley Photography with styling by Jean Hilpert of Magnolia Lane Creative and floral arrangements designed by Studio DBI. It features the color lavender in a gauzy, muted light matched up with cool-tone grays and a mix of neutral and warm greens. What’s most adorable here is that fun and whimsical tulle skirt separate that perfectly matches the hue of the easy-to-create lavender cocktail and what’s even better is that the recipe to this refreshing cocktail is below!
From the photographer, Audra Wrisley Photography: This botanical lavender inspiration shoot is filled to the brim with eco-friendly and chic wedding ideas. Inspired by the amazing hand-made backdrop by Jean Hilpert, our shoot revolves around a palette of purples, grays and greens to create a soothing yet imaginative space. Created by hand dying coffee filters, the ombré purple colors in the backdrop set the stage for this bridal inspiration shoot, and led the way to a world of majestic creativity. The wardrobe was selected with simple silhouettes and colors, so as not to compete with the backdrop. A custom gray tulle skirt was created for the occasion, and paired with a simple bralette top. Silver Betsey Johnson heels were the perfect glamorous accent!
A few of my favorite elements of the shoot are the DIY succulent favors. Highlighting the ingredients of pebbles, potting soil and colorful plant filler, these images show a luxe end result for a very eco friendly favor. The succulent favors were potted in vintage ice cream dishes, to give the plants a terrarium like feel, but in a form that guests will be thrilled to take home and put on their desk! Another DIY element of the inspiration shoot, are the herb and floral infused ice cubes, which made our lavender signature drinks look oh-so-pretty. It’s such a refreshing way to cool down on a hot day, and the detailed ice cubes are the perfect botanical accent! Lastly, the floral palette of ferns, hellebores, and purple poppies were the perfect blend of botanical elements to infuse this inspiration shoot.
