Strips of white fabric blow romantically in the wind in this open-air tent, and this bright gallery from Los Angeles wedding photographer Jenny Smith & Co. is gleeful indeed.

Mayberry Events created a natural, clean look by letting the beauty of the sand + towering palms shine through. Single stems in full bloom were all it took, and combined with square lanterns, mercury vases and pineapple motif utensils, Jessie + Chris’ wedding style was achieved.

From the photographer, Jenny Smith & Co.: This wedding has so many gorgeous details! The bride wore a feathered skirt, with a sheer cape, and a perfectly messy ponytail. Her cape blowing on the beach made for some truly beautiful photo opportunities! Each table at the reception was decorated with a certain flower/herb type, so each guests’ place card was a small vase with the corresponding flower to their table (ex: chamomile, oregano, lavender, etc)! They also had greenery chandeliers hanging over their beachside reception and custom black and white jean jackets with their last name on them for sunset photos!

Perhaps our favorite piece of their reception is the parade of lush chandeliers feat. mixed green foliage from Elizabeth Bailey Floral Designs.

From the bride, Jessie:

What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning?
We knew we wanted our wedding to be a celebration of love, not just our love but the shared love we feel with our family and friends.

What was your color palette and your style vision?
We had a pretty neutral palette, any color we used was one you could find in nature. We did our best to execute a clean modern look with notes of traditional. Our reception was on the beach so an open concept was important to us, we welcomed all the elements on that day.

Girl Meets Bongga made her up with a loose bridal ponytail to accentuate her natural waves, and girl, are we impressed!

What unique elements or DIY details did you include?
Full disclosure, I’m not exactly a DIY girl but I am creative in my own ways. I wanted the tent to feel complete and cohesive so I went to some great lengths to make sure the environment felt balanced. I also ordered these kick-ass jackets from a shop on Etsy (shout to BananaBones) his was black, mine was white, they said The Filsons on the back. They were a hit and worth every penny. Chris and I now decorate them with pins that we collect from our various adventures and travels.

What was your favorite moment? Your favorite crafted detail?
So many beautiful moments but I really loved watching all of our guests enjoy themselves as we took pictures on the beach. It made me feel so happy to be an outsider looking in and seeing everyone enjoy what we worked so hard to create.

Tell us about your flowers, your gown, your favors, your cake, etc.
My flowers were done by Elizabeth Bailey and she did an incredible job. Chris and I are from CA but moved to Atlanta, GA a few years ago so we wanted to subtly incorporate bits of the South. Elizabeth added poufs of cotton to my bouquet which added to its softness while providing a fun texture. In the tent we had gorgeous green chandeliers – while building these I told Elizabeth that I wanted it seem as though the wind had blown bits of the chandeliers onto the tabletops, she incorporated their greenery onto the tabletops perfectly. I was also hesitant about doing traditional table numbers so Elizabeth and I read books about the language and meanings of flowers and labeled our tables with floral names, each guest then found their name card tied around a tiny vase holding the flower their table was named after. My mom brought home one of these small vases at the end of the night and so loved having a living piece of the wedding at home with her once all was said and done. My gown was by a British designer- Halfpenny London. The skirt was feathered and fun, the top fitted and white, a nice counter to all the fun that was happening below. Instead of a veil I went with a sheer delicate cape, this created a romantic look that was also comfortable.

What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be?
My advice for brides-to-be is to surround yourself with a great team. I purposely chose to work with vendors that knew each other and had worked together before. The energy of that day is so beautiful and important when everyone gets along and looks out for each other you get the privilege of sitting back and absorbing all that love! Also, be kind to yourself, there is a lot of pressure placed specifically on women on this day so don’t forget about the self-love!
