Calling anyone who lives to #pursuepretty! Today’s Santorini wedding is an absolute stunner with its perfectly balanced hues of blue, mint and ivory. You can’t really beat a backdrop of the Aegean Sea, but when you add a geometric focal piece with some oversized blooms to boot, you’ve really outdone it. Allie and Jason’s destination wedding was nothing short of romantic, and we’re excited to pour over these photos from Sotiris Tsakanikas again with you. Opa!
From the stylist, Maria of Tie the Knot Santorini: Designing this modern & bohemian wedding with traditional Greek accents was an absolute bliss!! It is one of these dream weddings that challenge a wedding Stylist’s creativity and simply make us so happy since the beginning of the designing process. Especially when the bride is the sweetest person on earth with impeccable taste!!
This amazing couple that lived California and recently moved to Boston, USA, decided to get married in Greece, influenced by the bride’s-Alexandra- origin, that is actually from Santorini!! Is there a more ideal place for your destination wedding in Greece than Santorini? The decision was very quickly made.
Wedding ceremony & reception were held at a traditional Santorini Winery with amazing caldera views!!
Alexandra & Jason had a vision of incorporating different styles into the wedding design that would reflect their personalities and lifestyle. We absolutely adored that!! Bohemian elements were used in decoration and flowers such as pampas grass and king proteas. Colorful goblets and pattern napkins on the wedding tables created a gorgeous tablescape!! We also added modern elements. The big triangle arch as a ceremony backdrop and the mismatched chairs looked fabulous!!
Wedding styling was completed with some Grecian elements: the traditional Greek “kafeneio” chairs, olive leaves and other Greek island vegetation (succulents & lavender), as well as the brides’ ultra chic Grecian jewelry and headpiece!!
I absolutely loved the fresh color scheme: greens, soft blue and mint hues as well as grey, silver and gold elements. It looked dreamy, don’t you think?
