Blue Dress Barn Wedding

We’ve shared a few weddings that took place at the Blue Dress Barn in Michigan, and I love how the space transforms every single time. This wedding shot by Simply Jessie Photography and coordinated by Pearls Events is a sweet rustic wedding with all the right details in place. Megan and Jacob gave the infamous red gerbera daisies a fresh twist by placing just one bloom in a small vase in a cluster centerpiece. Love how they strung photobooth strips to represent their long nine year relationship!

Blue Dress Barn was a dream venue highlighting the Midwest and we had a perfect late summer day. Both Megan & Jacob are designers and left no detail undone. The invitations, menus and all paper goods were done by Megan with a pop of red. The guests were greeted by cocktails and delicious appetizers before the ceremony then stood around the two as they became husband and wife. The short ceremony took place on the side of the barn under the arbor. Guests then enjoyed the second cocktail time while celebrating the newlyweds. After the ceremony there was jumping, laughing and dancing that they were married! Dinner was served family style with Midwestern wildflowers on each table. The light in the restored barn was incredible during dinner and the lanterns glowed as the light dropped for the evening. These two love photo-booths as there nine year relationship was strung up and represented by photo strips. Of course they had a photo booth for their wedding! The night ended outdoors with S’mores out by the bonfire.

  • WOW. Everything looks so…TOUCHABLE! So EATABLE! So HUGGABLE! Everything looks so completely tangible. And I’m having a bit of a time dissuading myself i don’t need to hunt down a slice of a similar cake right now…<3

  • I love it! I’m getting married in a county park lodge in the woods. The bunting banner is adorable! I may take that idea 🙂

  • The red accents are my favorite! Well, other than the delicious layers of cake. I love the entire rustic feel, so homey 🙂

  • I love the dinner menus. Ah typography heaven! 🙂 I also love the use of red. So bold but done so beautifully well. The berries on the cakes add such a great touch as well. Love it all, great job you guys!
