Beaver Creek Cabin Wedding
Rustic Weddings
We only need three words to describe this wedding from Carl Zoch: Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. From bride Monica Raymund’s Oscar de la Renta gown to the cake adorned with baby blue flower details to the incredible Colorado night sky, we’re head over heels for every aspect of this cabin fête. Get ready for some serious dress envy!
From the bride, Monica: I envisioned a rustic yet elegant wedding week end in the Colorado Rockies. I kept saying “Midsummer Night’s Dream….. with heels.”
We really let the Colorado mountains and Mother Nature inspire our feel for the wedding. No theme was necessary: the outdoors spoke for themselves and we really just wanted to highlight the beautiful landscape.
I stuck to cream/linen & sage green as my primary colors with a little dark brown to bring in the aspen trees and earthy tones of the outdoors. Even though I’m a pretty colorful person, I was surprised by my rather muted palate. Neil REALLY wanted to see some color at the wedding, so we designed our center pieces with Colorado summer flowers (we got married in June!) to add a pop of color.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? SPOIL YOURSELF! You work so hard to put this memorable day together that you deserve time alone, a spa day, a vacation, whatever you fancy! My husband and I try to treat each other like gold, as all partners should try to do in order to have a happy marriage. But I’m a big believer in treating yourself like gold too. Don’t be afraid to take care of YOU, because when the wedding day comes, you want to be as relaxed and happy as possible!

Wedding Music:
For our ceremony, we asked our dear friend and World Master Cellist, Timothy Eddy, to play a variety of pieces that he chose for us. It was an honor because he is one of the most famous cellists in the world and he lent us his talent for that special day.
First Dance: David Garza’s “For Keeps.” He played all the music for cocktail hour and one set after dinner. Then Sergio Vargas took over for the rest of the evening and we danced merengue and salsa all night long!
