Adventurous Historic Cedarwood Wedding

Any time we see a wedding from Cedarwood Weddings, we know we’re in for a treat. Lauren and Rhett’s wedding didn’t disappoint, and was filled to the brim with stunning proteas, eye-catching design, and some of the most gorgeous scenery we’ve seen in quite a while, all captured by the wonderful Brad & Jen.

From the bride, Lauren: We envisioned something very natural, whimsical and free-flowing. Our wedding was kind of an on-going project that would change as we made decisions. We knew off the bat that we wanted a very nature oriented look of the wedding and that we didn’t necessarily want a primary color but more of a very light color scheme overall. We did make our own wedding favors but other than that Cedarwood handled a lot of the little details that made our day so lovely! I requested a lot of wild flowers, (no formal looking flowers were really used) there were lots of succulents and a couple roses thrown into my bouquet as well.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? I think the main thing is just to keep taking time out for each other and not to lose sight of what it’s really all about; a lifelong commitment to one another. Also, it’s one of those things that you don’t want to “over plan” for and stress about because that’s not going to get you there any sooner. We would make little weekly/monthly goals and let the rest fall into place as time went on. It was a blast and Rhett was so much help! Enjoy the details! Don’t skimp on the photography!
