Stylish Wedding with a Hint of Moody in Australia’s Historic Guildhall
You know when the most epic party just perfectly falls into place? Yea, well Brooke and Brett’s gorgeous wedding in Australia was just like that. With the food and beverages being the main focal point you know their guests were in for a treat! Australia’s Historic Guildhall set the stage, and then paired with deep crimson red roses, dried botanicals and orchids, Sir Botanical created the ultimate moody wedding. The stylish bride is rocking a gorgeous two piece look and we feel like we were there thanks to the stunning photos by Flossy Photo.
How did your fiancé propose?
We had planned to go for early drinks down at Bathers Beach, where he proposed on the jetty at sunset. My parents and brother then came and met us for celebration bubbles. The bubbles then turned into a night of copious amounts sakè and cocktails with some of our closest friends.
Where did you find inspiration for your wedding?
We wanted a wedding that felt like a big party. We didn’t focus on wedding trends or traditions, so we just went with styling that suited us – there was absolutely no plan, it just sort of all fell together!
How did you choose your wedding venue?
We knew we wanted to get married at Guildhall after enjoying many Sunday afternoons in their courtyard. We didn’t even look anywhere else – it was the ideal venue for us.
Inspiration for your color palette?
I had no color pallet in mind! It was winter, so I was drawn to the moodier colors and after seeing previously Sir Botanical using black roses with gold accents, I knew I could let them do their thing and it will be amazing – and oh, boy they delivered.
Were there any specific elements that were important to include?
For us, it was all about the good food and drink – another reason we chose Guildhall because Propeller catered the food and they are just incredible, the wine selection was incredible too. We wanted to make sure our son, Archie, was included in the wedding – and he made one cute paige boy.
Ok so this wedding looks like so much FUN and when you pair it with your fav hangout spot at Australia’s Guildhall you know you’re in for a good time. Since we’re such big fans of the crimson red roses, this fall wedding with lots of velvet burgundy just HAD to be next in line. Because, obviously.
