There’s a whole lotta something blue in today’s Pippin Hill wedding that’s a Southern bride’s dream. The bride tells all below!
We selected Pippin for our wedding ceremony and reception because we want to be married outdoors, surrounded by beautiful landscape and scenic views of the mountains. Some of our favorite memories are of our outdoor adventures, hiking and backpacking, so the mountains are special for us. On top of the view, having the reception and ceremony at the same location was very important, especially because most of our guests are out-of-towners and unfamiliar with the Charlottesville area. We love local, thoughtfully crafted food paired with delicious wine, good company, and ambiance. We found Pippin to provide all of the above! Very scenic, elegant, but also rustic…a good combination of us.

We wanted the wedding to highlight the natural landscape, so everything was beautifully undone…from the flowers by Mallory Joyce to the hair by Brianna B Adams, etc. We pictured everything being flowy, romantic, peaceful, elegant, a little rustic, savory, with intimate lighting (we love candles!). Overall, we wanted the day to be a reflection of who we are, but sprinkled in fun {personal} details throughout the event space.

From the planner, Amore Events, on the special details Ashlund and Tim included in their day: The server and knife set that was used at the bride’s parent’s wedding are what they used to cut their cake. They also included a “memory table” of family, and their table “numbers” were actually places representing the couple’s favorite spots they’ve traveled together (made by the bride’s sister!) Ashlund and Tim also had a photo booth for guests and a late night fire pit with s’mores!
