Late Summer Love Wedding Inspiration
Summer may be coming to an end (and we may or may not be delighted to say goodbye to this heat), but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep admiring the beauty its afternoon sunshine offers by way of these gorgeous images from Ruth Eileen Photography. Stylists and planners extraordinaire Poppy Love Weddings crafted up this dreamy summertime shoot to celebrate the best this season has to offer.
From the event designers, Poppy Love Weddings: Late summer beauty is abounding in New England and it was the inspiration behind this shoot, chock full of sweet vintage details and loads of vibrant color. Beginning at the floating vintage door decorated with a corner floral garland and flanked by a trio of large antiqued lanterns, our free-spirited couple enjoys a delicious romp around the countryside.
The table setting included a lush landscape of moss and succulents with rustic Tuscan vases filled to the brim with earthy ferns, lemon leaf, chinaberry & hanging amaranthus. The linens were a mix of primitive and shabby chic – a double layered runner of burlap and muted blue print fabric provided a textural base, while silkscreen floral napkins tied with place cards & vintage keys added a touch of whimsy.
The colorful hobnail glassware, mercury glass votives and cow utter creamers helped infuse the table with charm and a bit of cheekiness. Lastly, the most darling vintage French writing desk served as the cake & dessert display. A down-home two tiered maple glazed coffee cake was the centerpiece of the display while other summer farmhouse treats like miniature pecan pies and wildflower honey pots helped to complete the look.
Our bride wore a vivid floral crown of dahlia, ranunculus, lemon leaf & china berry and she carried a brilliant bouquet of hydrangea, pink and white dahlia, red and pink ranunculus, pink andromeda, scabiosa pods, & chinaberries. Our groom wore a sweet little bout of scabiosa pod, ranunculus bud, chinaberry & dried hare’s tail.

Many thanks for this great blog and the inspiring photos. The photographer did a great job! Love the flowers in the hair of the bride….their colors are so bright and build a great contrast to the pastels of the picture.
