A Summer Boho Picnic

For this styled shoot, I wanted to show how you can implement the fun candy into your wedding day decor using My M&M’S® personalized candies. First I picked out the colors that best fit my scheme (electric lime, aqua, and teal in this case), and then I added some cute sayings that reflected the whimsy of the day. “I like your face,” “you’re shmoopy” (for all you Seinfeld fans out there), “love you always,” and “let’s do this” were printed onto the backs of each M&M. I filled up a bowl at each place setting with the candies, and then popped in a waffle cone as a cute to-go container for your treats.
In order to keep everything from being too matchy-matchy, I made sure to use some mismatched glassware and created a backdrop out of polymer clay which I then spray painted hot pink and gold. The low table and floor pillows keep the entire vibe relaxed and bohemian. There were endless color arrangements we could have gone with for the M&M’S®, and I love seeing them tie in so effortlessly to the shoot as a whole. By no means do the colors have to perfectly match your color scheme — I actually preferred having them complement the overall feel rather than being an exact interpretation! They can be easily styled in to a wedding candy bar.
