Whimsical Melbourne Wedding

Hannah and Mark wanted a classic wedding with a touch of whimsy, which happens to be one of our favorite kinds of weddings. They brought on the expertise of photographer Louisa Bailey to capture all the details of their day, from the sweet pops of Hannah’s red heels to the Polaroid name cards. We’re also wild about the bride’s super-fluffy white peony bouquet!

From the bride, Hannah: Our vision was classically beautiful with a whimsical touch – we wanted the day to be fun and slightly quirky. I found inspirations from other weddings featured on the likes of Ruffled, etc and “made it my own” by adding my personal touches.

From the moment we stepped into Quat Quatta, we knew the Victorian mansion was ‘the’ one! We loved the high ceilings and original features – it’s classic and requires minimalist decoration.

Our DIY projects included:

1. Mark made ‘Mark <3 Han's Wedding' signage for our garden ceremony 2. Placecards - Paris monument photos was purchased from a stationery store called Typo and printed out the guest names 3. Guest book tree - took photos of guests using Fuji Instax camera and got them to write a little message and peg it onto the sticks/branches we had set up in a big vase. Also displayed old wedding photos of both our parents.
