Vintage Airstream Texas Wedding
When today’s wedding promised vintage Airstream trailers, funky floral centerpieces and an art-deco inspired wedding dress, our hearts pitter-pattered with delight. And when it delivered on all that and more, well we just about exploded with delight. Veronika and Sly planned their outdoor Texas wedding from San Francisco and wanted all the details to collide into one heck of a party. They sourced the best local vendors and cranked up the creative juices to bring together friends and family in a totally unique, Southern soirée. And it’s all captured through the creative eye of Katherine O’Brien Photography. Enjoy!
From the bride, Veronika. We both love the outdoors (Sly proposed to me on one of our camping trips, inside a rustic cabin), so we both knew immediately that we would want to have an outdoor wedding. Even though we lived in San Francisco, we both still thought of Texas as home, and knew that we would be married in Texas. The ranch really seemed to embody so many things we loved–the outdoors, laid back rustic atmosphere, and a vintage Airstream.
We wanted our wedding to be more of a celebration, where we could throw a big barbecue, party with our friends, dance to a live band, roast marshmallows, and really have a great time at our wedding. We love camping, traveling, and anything vintage, so we wanted to incorporate these elements into our wedding as well.
Our wedding was a huge DIY project – a friend and I designed and letter pressed our invitations. I also designed our logo using a drawing of an Airstream trailer, which I had made into a stamp that we used on the muslin s’more’s favor bags, the brown kraft bags filled with lavender that was thrown after the ceremony, tags, cards, and our vow booklets.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Don’t look at too many bridal magazines or obsess over what other people did for their weddings. There are so many great ideas out there that serve as great jumping-off points, but sometimes it can really be overwhelming. Trust your own vision for your wedding, and keep in mind what’s meaningful to you.

we are proud texan girls and love this wedding – it was fabulous! There is nothing like that southern charm!
I love Airstreams I think they are the only thing in the world that make me want to travel on the open road. Really gorgeous details, Veronika’s advice is on point you should trust your own vision. Great wedding!!!
That sparkler tailgate photo is just so sweet. What a wonderful memory to have! Frame that bad boy.
What a beautiful day! Love the decor. Great job.
i just love the rustic theme. bride and groom look SO lovely. i really appreciate the incorporation of all the wood and forest flora. beautiful!
The vintage theme is really different. Coupled with vintage style photography it really makes for a stunning collection of photos.
Great wedding!! Such a unique theme, and a totally cool Austin vibe. Can’t wait to have Katherine O’Brien shoot my wedding in April!
Love the dessert bar! And that cake is delightful. Love all the elements of this wedding… the couple truly made it their own!
I love the vintage camper icons and the real camper too! So unique and well done.
The Dress…OMG the dress.. well the dress is great but would be nothing without the lovely bride inside. The airstream is a dream. I love the creativity and can only imagine how much fun it would be for a child to attend this kind of wedding. Like a little fantasy come true. ANd for the adults they can feel like children caught up in all the wonder!
The decor and location rendered an exquisitely vintage tone throughout all the photos. Great set-pieces like the airstream was icing on the cake. DIY, is such a great idea because there’re so many things sitting around the house waiting to be recycled. Love the use of antique bottles and mason jars for flower vases. Great pics!
