Love Letter Engagement Session
We absolutely adore when grooms (and grooms-to-be) plan special surprises for their loves, and Adam here has set the bar pretty darn high. He wrote a love letter to his fiancée, Katy, and had it transferred by hand onto fabric for their engagement shoot background. So sweet, right? Cassie Loree Photography and Blooming House Collective took care of the rest!
From the stylist, Nikki Phelan of Blooming House Collective: For the first scene of Katy and Adam’s engagement session, an ivory Victorian couch with jasmine colored stitching was set beneath a large, maple pergola. Ivory chiffon was delicately draped around the couch to add a whimsical texture. Flowers were placed along the wooden brim of the couch and atop the beige, vintage side table. The lush greenery and coral accents brought an earthy tone to the shoot, and to enhance the romantic ambiance, brass candles holders with ivory candlesticks were scattered throughout the scene.
For the second scene, our hand-lettered, fabric love letter was roped between two aged, off-white doors. The letter, worded by the soon-to-be groom, was a surprise element for the beautiful bride. Details from the first set were used to make the two scenes cohesive. The couple’s initials, in free-standing, metallic letters, were also added for additional personalization. The shoot itself captures a present-day romance with a touch of vintage flair.
