Microbrewed Wedding Inspiration
How absolutely incredible is this reception space, Camarillo’s own Institution Ale Co.? The microbrewery served as the inspiration behind today’s styled shoot, lovingly put together by Shindig Fancy and These Buds A Blooming and photographed by Lavender & Twine. The result is about what you’d imagine – a perfect blend of masculine-meets-feminine decor with plenty of romantic details and floral arrangements thrown in for good measure.
From Crystal of Shindig Fancy: The inspiration for this shoot was the ever-growing American Craft Brewing industry. The guys over at Institution Ale Co. were gracious enough to host us in their new industrial space in Camarillo, CA. Another big inspiration was the increasing personalization of weddings in the past few of years where couples are using their big day to showcase their personal styles and interests. One of these interests comes in the form of customizing the bar menu to their taste. If the venue permits, beer enthusiasts are choosing to forgo the corporate cans and bottles to bring in a keg or two from their favorite local Microbrewery.
Beer drinking guests will be grateful to have a tasty libation to sip on throughout the night, but what about the non-beer drinkers you may ask? Taking the theme a little farther, we also decided to create The Whiskey Bean, a signature drink using the microbrew as one of the main ingredients, one that pleases the taste buds of non-beer drinking guest as well. Our ‘couple’ eloped and then returned home to host a lovely reception for their closest friends and family in their local brewery.

Wow! I love everything about this concept – the florals, the bottles-turned-candle-holders, the mix of feminine/masculine. What a beautiful styled shoot!
