1950s Inspired Scottish Wedding
I think if I could marry a wedding, it would be this one from Christopher Currie. The bright and cheery color palette of pink, red and teal makes me happier than a bug in a rug, and bride Sara’s vintage-inspired gown from LouLou Bridal is the perfect hint of sweet with a bow at the waist.
From the newlyweds, Sara and Craig: We wanted a laid-back, informal feel to the day with a bright, colourful look and a hint of vintage style. Our color theme was red, pink and teal. Our DIY projects included mini champagne and ‘Nuts about You’ nibbles for the vintage bus journey, hand decorated jars for the table centerpieces, crochet hearts made by the bride’s grandmother, stationery and menus designed by the Mother of the Bride, paper flowers and homemade shortbread favours.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Stay true to your own style. Your wedding can be any format you want so don’t be afraid to break from the norm and to make decisions that other people don’t agree with. It is your wedding after all!
