Sweet Pastel Church Wedding

Mary, from Floataway Studios, sent us this superbly sweet wedding to us from Oregon couple Ashley and Ryan. This is a great example of how a few personalized details can really turn your location into the dream venue. From Mary, the photographer. Ashley and Ryan went above and beyond for their September wedding! The majority of the elements of the wedding were DIY and it had such a whimsical and romantic feeling to the day.

I love the whole thing but the bride’s necklace is stunning! It gives me an idea of something I want to make but with some dupioni silk rosettes with the brooches on top of them. This is such a sweet romantic wedding!

Hey, Ashley – bride here! Wanted to answer some questions, sorry for being late to reply! The necklace, are you ready, is from forever 21, and was around $15! hehe, my little secret!

The dress was Allure, 8526 in ivory: http://www.allurebridals.com/index.php?id=3&product_id=95 I had my Grandma who was a seamstress make the sweetheart neckline a little deeper.

The bridesmaids dresses were from Modcloth. A very great resource for unique bridesmaid dresses. Also check www.shopruche.com

Mary could not have done a more remarkable amazing job! I am so blessed her and Scott were our photographers, we LOVE HER TO DEATH!

PS, I’m selling lots of items from my wedding, if interested let me know : )

Ashley, where did you get that lovely cardigan you were wearing in the cake-cutting photo? I have been searching for something to wear during my outdoor reception.

    Thanks!

Kelli: unfortunately the chalkboard sing was not mine, I borrowed it.
Sandra: I managed to buy that cardigan from Macy’s of all places in the junior section.

    Ashley N. on April 30, 2011

Hey Ashley, Gorgeous pictures! Do you have the contact info. for the church and the grange across the street, I haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone?

  26. 26
Ashley Porter on May 3, 2011

Hey, the contact for the church is Marion Lassa (503) 585-1694. Phone is really the only way to contact them, I’m afraid there’s no website of email.
