Sweet Ranch Texas Wedding

We have a super sweet wedding from Texas to share this afternoon! The bride, Michelle, found her vintage lace wedding dress at a thrift store and had it transformed into a dainty strapless number. Isn’t it gorg? Apryl Ann Photography was on hand to capture their wedding day.

Michelle and Johnny are both teachers at the same school. One day, at a track meet, it started pouring rain. They ran for cover to Johnny’s truck and talked for hours…it’s been love ever since! Their wedding was was held at the Weston Gardens in Forth Worth, Texas. This place is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Old stone and brick with lush greenery make this an awesome venue for a hidden garden wedding. The guys get ready on a stone ship while the bride gets ready in a room with oak walls! Absolutely amazing. Vintage lace, blue jars, vintage garden furniture along with some southern aesthetics including the custom cake topper and Johnny’s boots and belt buckle, made this simple yet gorgeous wedding special to them. Michelle found her dress at a thrift store and she and her mother made it sleeveless with a dropped back. It was absolutely perfect.

  • Thank you guys! The shoes were my big splurge that I justified with the fact that my dress was $35. The re-do of the dress was truly harder than making it from scratch, but it was exacly what I hoped for and was totally worth it!

  • wish i could been their.see you soon love you both. welcome to the gaby family

  • Wow! That dress! I’m curious how you restyled it and what it looked like before. I need directions! Beautiful wedding!

  • Love the dress!! Curious – is it a 50s Bridallure? Would love to buy it from you if you are going to go that route…

  • Loved your wedding pictures. Gorgeous! Just curious-would you be interested in selling your dress? I absolutely love it! My wedding is in September of 2012! Or if you could point me in the direction of where/what store I might find a dress to fix up myself. Did you find your in Ft. Worth? If you are interested in selling my email is meredith.snow@yahoo.com
