Homespun Arizona Wedding

Occasionally, there are weddings that come across more as parties than traditional weddings. Not just that, but parties we’re really bummed we didn’t get to attend, because they just look like that much fun. Sally and Kelsen’s April affair undoubtedly fits that description with all of its personal DIY touches and one heck of a dance party. Please don’t forget to check out the gallery for even more images captured by the wonderful Erica Velasco!

From the photographer, Erica: Sally and Kelsen, their family and friends created the most adorable, handmade, vintage inspired details for their wedding day. It was so cute, warm and unique. You instantly felt like you were home… well you were… because the wedding took place at a family friend’s home in Scottsdale! Not only did the details look amazing, so did Sally and Kelsen. She radiated with joy, and he was clearly smitten with her beauty.

    Thanks!

  • Hey all, thanks for all the love! It was a truly amazing day and I’m so happy we could share some of the fun memories. Regarding the guest poster: a close friend, and one of the groomsmen, is a graphic designer. As our wedding gift, he designed the invitation and poster for our friends to sign. Since our wedding was pretty small (55 people) everyone had plenty of room to sign and write a little message, so it worked out well! If you’re curious, his website is GauerCreative.com. He doesn’t have any wedding graphic work up there, but obviously he’s super talented! In regards to the necklace… I actually made it myself!! My wedding ring is a family heirloom and I wanted something to play up the jade. I bought a whole bunch of different kinds and sizes of beads (JoAnn’s practically knew me by name) and wove them together using a needle, waxed thread, a random weaving technique and a whole lot of trial and error!

Thanks again for all the love. It was a really amazing day and we’re thrilled to have all the amazing people on Ruffled share it!!
