Vintage Berry Pink Wedding

Vintage handkerchiefs, sweet song lyrics, and bright bursts of pink make today’s wedding a total standout! The couple and their family and friends took their time collecting all the perfect elements to give this wedding the right handmade look. I love their tabletops and the inclusion of some of my favorite lyrics from songwriters of the past and present. Check out the gallery for more stunning images from Joielala Photographie, including a gorgeous and eclectic invitation suite!

From the bride, Shaylee. There was so much work and detail put into this day, not just by Andy and I, but all of our family and friends really came together to help us make our vision for this day a reality. We spent many days and hours making Jam, cutting, pasting, tying and sealing invitations, scouring flea markets and thrift stores in search of as many vintage books, jars, tins, picture frames, wooden crates, hankies, and any sort of vintage decor we could get our hands on.

Then the day came and when the doors opened and I saw Andy standing there, all of the stress and worry about every little detail was gone and all I could think about was him and I standing up there together and how I couldn’t wait to say “I do.” I wasnt nervous at all, I was ready to be Mrs. Ross!

A close family friend, Shonda Jochim, put all of the flower arrangements together the day of the wedding along with help from Andy’s mom and sister Genny. All the table decorations were put together by Genny.

The day was amazing and all of the hard work and attention to detail really paid off. We couldn’t have done any of this without the LOVE and help we received from all of our family and friends!

I help run what might be called a “vintage” wedding venue in Birmingham AL. (a hundred year old masonic lodge that was restored for weddings and other events). I am also a “vintage” i.e. using and restoring old items. I love the tree with the thumbprints and the antique tins and old camera. You did a great job with all of the little details! You have given us a number of ideas to share with our brides!!!
