Turn of The Century Session in Germany

I haven’t posted a bridal shoot in a long long while, but this turn of the century inspired session shot by Maria Hibbs of Squareville Studios in a bucolic town in Germany makes me want to book a trip to Europe stat. Maria is based out of Texas, but travels to Germany often to visit her family.

From Maria: While on vacation in Germany this past August I had the opportunity to shoot this bride & groom session with Ricarda & Matthias. They both live in a small town near Berlin and knew the perfect location for our session that was inspired by the look of old Victorian wedding photos you find in antique stores. The vintage dress, the peeled off wall paint and the random props we found in the attic made the entire shoot come together perfectly. We finished our session right before sunset in a nearby field and shot some images with Matthias’ vintage German scooter.

These images are absolutely stunning love the juxtaposition of vintage and tattoos, this is a gorgeous shoot!

  2. Ich liebe Duetschland! Ich lerne Duetsch. I’m not very good. LOL Lovely images. This is totally my dream. I’ve backpacked through Europe several times, but all were pre-wedding photographer days, or just after I began, so I never had the opportunity to shoot there professionally- it never occurred to me to even offer. Even if I had, I didn’t have the skills. I would love to do so now- it’s my dream!

Germany is by far my favourite country. I go to Berlin as often as possible, so this is fab! I love the mural on the wall in the inside shoot.

I have a German boyfriend and this stunning shoot would be a dream!! You have totally inspired me. Your fabulous and talented. The green velet chairs contrasr’s so vividly it just jumps out and totally sucked me in. Absolutely beautiful. I hope the wedding and celebrations were just as fun as the shoot.

This is really nice, she totally looks like Uma Thurman BTW. I like how they didn’t smile in most of their pics, just like people back in the day
