Tamar + Mike’s Pink and Green (and everything in between) Wedding

Happy 2010! We are kicking things off with a delicious vintage pink ruffled wedding dress and a fun-tastic couple. Shot by the talented photographer Joel Flory from Flory Photo who sent us this wedding last week. I’ve been giddy to share this one!

Emily de Ayora from Downey Street Events, the Day-of-Coordinator shares a little bit of their wedding:

Tamar and Mike did most of the planning for their wedding themselves, and the entire event revolved around splashes of bright color – especially her favorites, hot pink and bright green. From her vintage pink wedding gown, to the rainbow-colored bridesmaids dresses, to the gerber daisies and strawberry shortcake-themed floral arrangements, to the brightly colored skinny ties on the groomsmen, to the most incredibly gorgeous Ketubah anyone had ever seen – it was color, color, color.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, California. This venue was great for the event. The huge palm trees on the property were a theme for the wedding, showing up on invitations and menus (made by the bride and groom), and the gorgeous hand-made escort cards and pins that the bride and groom labored over. In addition, the town of Pleasanton offered a wide variety of great locations for wedding party photos, including the town arch, and a great wall of graffiti for some fun photographs, taken by Flory Photo. We (Downey Street Events) provided 36 inch balloons provided added a fun touch to the pictures.

Check back soon to see cake photos, reception details and more wedding goodies from Tamar and Mike’s wedding. I know you want to.
