Photos by:

Today, we have a special two-part treat for both brides and grooms. With such a bevy of utterly gorgeous bridal gowns, shoes, and veils available in the fashion world, groom’s looks can easily appear, well, a bit mundane after a while. We scoured the internet to find the best shops and clothing available, from etsy sellers and handmade artisans to our partners Jos A. Bank and Charles Tyrwhitt. Luckily, with spring quickly approaching, there are so many fresh and exceptional options available for your future husband! So, whether you’re searching for looks for a vintage groom to match your style or americana charm, look no further:

We’re always so tickled when our brides find useful items via Ruffled- whether it’s DIY projects from the contest, unique dress styles, amazing wedding professionals, or decor ideas. Alyssa, the gorgeous bride, was able to integrate all kinds of vintage-inspired projects into her wedding to Noah this past year and we think the end result is just the sweetest. I love the aesthetic behind all of the film photos from Green Apple Photography as well. Crisp, clean and totally gorgeous.

From the bride, Alyssa: I wanted our wedding to embody a rustic vintage feel. Almost all of the details involved in our wedding were DIY projects. I made my brooch bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, decorations, our pinata, centerpieces, etc. We didn’t have specific colors but we had a common color scheme of creams and pastels.

We knew we wanted our ceremony in the mountains so after a lot of searching we found the perfect little clearing up Millcreek Canyon in Salt Lake City, Utah. Just before the ceremony it had rained so everything was damp and beautiful.

We planned on having our reception in a friend’s backyard in South Jordan, Utah, but because of the rain we had to have the reception indoors at my family’s funeral home (sounds weird, I know, but it worked out great and looked just like a reception center.)

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? My advice would be have one detail like the dress or an object be inspiration for the rest of your wedding details. That helped me keep everything mesh well together.

And now, part two (See Part 1 here) of Stuart and Lauri’s vintage London wedding. I just adore those car and balloon pictures, and their cafe reception venue is so darling! Photos by Lisa Devlin.

From the couple: The reception was easy. We had been on a few really lovely day-trips to a fantastic little cafe at The Needlemakers in the gorgeous town of Lewes. The building, food and staff are all amazing there, and it was just big enough to turn the place into a sweaty little disco after the meal.

We all had a go as DJ as a lot of us know each other through the club night Stuart and his best man, Liam, ran together.

The cake, a tiered Victoria sponge with raspberries, was provided by the Needlemakers staff upon our request…lovely people.

Our advice is to spend money on the food and the photos, and make sure your wedding has meaning and personality.
