If you’re in the mood for something unbelievably pretty, we’ve got the perfect thing. At the TRIO Workshops in St Louis, photographers Shannon Duggan Photography and Ashley Fisher Photography captured these beautiful images just oozing with romance. And the floral accents from Accents Floral Design? We’re total smitten kittens.
With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, we figured it’s time to share this ultra-chic wedding inspiration filled to the brim with romantic colors, fashion, and truly enviable centerpieces. Erin Stubblefield, Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events, and An Affair to Remember left no detail unattended to as they get us ready for the Valentine’s spirit!
Wedding vendors from all across St. Louis came together to blend warm, tropical colors with our favorite summery details – think cacti, succulents, exotic birds and hand-painted tiles. The result was a delightfully modern fiesta, with a sophisticated twist. Some of our favorite vignettes from this event include the vibrant DIY ceremony backdrop inspired by Oh Happy Day with pedestals of tropical foliage to round out the space, the cake with blended watercolor brushstrokes and a metallic pineapple topper and the petal-adorned hoops with tassels suspended over the tables like a personal chandelier. Leave it to Big Fake Wedding to throw a fun event:

There’s something about adding watercolor to your wedding day that just instantly ups the romance factor, which is exactly what Michelle and Sam did for their own celebration. A supremely talented team of vendors, including Untamed Heart Photography, Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events, and Poppie’s Design Studio, came together to create this stunning day and make all the couple’s dreams reality!
From the bride, Michelle: What a glorious day in May! Our ceremony and reception were both held at the 114 year old country club where Sam and his brothers grew up working. The setting was lush and green, with all of the unique charm the venue had to offer. Large chandeliers, black and white checkered flooring, and ornate details all came to life when tied in with the bright pops of floral and gold. We could not have asked for more!
Our vision for the wedding was one that was relaxed and comfortable… I even wore flats! All of the bridesmaids picked out their own dresses in light neutral shades, and the groomsmen dressed in navy with their own unique and fun ties. Sam and I wanted everyone’s individual personality to shine through. We had the best morning getting ready, listening to music and sipping champagne, while the men spent the morning on the beautiful golf course.
The wedding day was full of light spring rain showers, but right before the ceremony took place on the upper patio, the skies opened up, and the sun shone through for all of our guests. I had always wanted to get married outside, so I wasn’t going to let a little rain stop that. Our reception was full of fun dance parties, lovely toasts, yummy dessert treats, and loads of laughter. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a single thing.
You all know by now we’re big fans of The Big Fake Wedding, and the list of reasons is long. For starters, they reinvented what a bridal event should be. The Big Fake Wedding is just that: a faux wedding complete with vow renewal ceremony by a real couple and reception, where participating vendors get to collaborate as if it was the real deal. Attendees witness local professionals in action and have the opportunity to meet them in person. If you’re a talented vendor and looking to participate, we have the lowdown on upcoming events where you can apply:
We share all Big Fake Wedding event recaps, and this year we’re particularly excited because we co-designed all inspiration boards. Each location will have its own unique inspiration challenge, and you better believe we’re counting down the days to share these events with you!
This is a great opportunity for vendors, whether up and coming or established, to connect with colleagues in one huge creative party. Vendors work together in a big team with carte blanche for the talents to shine through, and getting to meet engaged couples to boot.

I’m beyond excited to share this shoot with you all. Not only is it bursting with color, but it’s got endless amounts of floral beauty from Peacock Blooms Floral Design. Sweet Monday Photography was not only the photographer, but the genius behind the concept and creation.
From Lindsey and April of Sweet Monday Photography: We wanted to do something fun to celebrate the winding down of summer, and to show off the gorgeous colors in flowers and desserts that are in abundance this time of year. Many of the projects were DIY (the giant wire heart, the marshmallows, the flatware, etc.), and we thrifted a lot of the tablescape. The location was the super charming Heirloom Room, which is a new antique store and event space in St. Louis, MO. They have amazing vintage rentals available for their clients, and we wanted to bring a modern feel in with our flowers and decor to mix with the rustic lushness of the space.

Deidre Lynn Photography always brings in the sweetest Midwest weddings for us to gush over. This one is no exception. This wedding was virtually 100% handmade, thanks to talented Etsy sellers. Many more images from this vineyard wedding in the gallery!
From the Bride: We were inspired by classic vintage details, our vineyard location, and a little bit of European goodness. Our wedding day REALLY could not have been more perfect from beginning to end. Hugh and I both have the same favorite moments (ironically the opening and closing of the day): the pure joy we felt when those Church doors opened and we first saw each other from opposite ends; and the cap to the night when family and friends encircled us and we all happily swayed and sang along to “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers, the last song at the reception. Of course, this special day would not have been even close to possible without the hard work of all of our generous family and friends. In addition, the vendors we selected all went above and beyond to make our day truly wonderful. Their work was not only excellent but also their kind and willing attitudes made wedding planning and day of coordination so much easier.
