When you’re exchanging vows under a 200-year-old pecan tree and partying the night away at a 19th century Victorian bed and breakfast, how can your wedding NOT be amazing? Wedding planner + bride Hailey of Two Roads Event Co. knows how to throw a seriously great fête, and chose to fill her day with beautiful deep blues and striking marsala for a fresh and moody soiree. Thank you to the great team of Lacie Hansen, Alluring Events & Design, and Botanica for your wonderful work here!

Industrial Texas Wedding with Romantic Minimalism

Modern Weddings

Texas is known for its weddings with heaps and heaps of southern charm, but Ashley and Johnny’s wedding broke out and traveled down the road of modern and clean. Rachel Meagan Photography was in charge of chronicling this fun couple’s big day and immediately, it evokes a contemporary feel with simple yet striking elements. The bloom creations by Wild Bunches Floral echo this with eye-catchingly bright white anemones, the ever-loved eucalyptus, and white peonies, to name a few.

Spirited Alabama Wedding with Holiday Ideas

Romantic Weddings

Photos by:

W&E Photographie

Just in time for all of the merry festivities, W&E Photographie sent over Sarah and Trey’s holiday-inspired Alabama fête that’s giving us all of the Christmas feels. They wanted to incorporate their beloved holiday and did so in a most elegant way, with a moody red and green palette (as seen in the bridesmaids’ dresses and the beautiful floral arrangements by Staci Bledsoe) and a wreath backdrop worth replicating. Just like the dessert table at their reception, this wedding is the sweetest.

The Aegean Sea Sparkles in this Greek Wedding Editorial

Of all the places I’ve visited over the years, Greece stands out as the most magical. Unfortunately we didn’t get to make it to Ios Island, but this inspiration shoot from Anna Roussos Photography and The 12 Events has me dreaming of a return visit to the country! This talented team of vendors refers to Ios Island as a hidden paradise, and it’s easy as pie to figure out why. The shoot makes use of local artisans and other vendors to create a gem of a wedding setup, making for not only picture-perfect design, but also Eco-friendly!

Botanical Baby Shower with Rose Gold

Yes way, rosé! This baby shower dreamed and designed by Dream a Little Dream Events, I Heart Table Art and The Black Posy is totally unprecedented and utterly femme. “In Full Bloom” was the mood of the day, and botanical elements in blush, peach, rose gold and copper were dispersed throughout this greenhouse in all the right places. This is our first baby shower on Ruffled, and we’re pretty excited about it! We can’t get enough of the rose gold details and how this setting would look equally beautiful for a wedding. All captured by LoveHer Photography.

Blush Pink Wedding at Carondelet House

Romantic Weddings

Photos by:

Priscila Valentina

Today’s real wedding takes place at one of our favorite LA venues – the Carondelet House! Ever so dynamic, this space features everything from an urban loft interior to stained glass windows to whitewashed brick. Akemi and Brian’s biggest priority when it came to designing their special day was creating an event that reflected, well, them, and we’re happy to say that their wedding was a warm celebration of love, love and nothing but love! XOXO Events made sure the entire day went off without a hitch, and they exchanged “I do’s” beneath a charming combination of chandeliers and exposed beams. We are in serious awe of The Little Branch, whose tangled bundles of ranunculus, anemone, peonies and roses decorated the brick walls in a sliding scale of pink! You can see it all here in these moment-filled images from Priscila Valentina – we dare you not to shed a couple tears.

Intimate Wedding with Pup Ring Bearers

Romantic Weddings

Photos by:

Jenna McElroy

How adorable is this playful + intimate Austin wedding? Some might consider planning a wedding on a hotel balcony to be a challenge, but Katy and Charlie accepted it with gusto and the result has truly left us speechless! Soft, pastel blooms from Margot Blair created an exquisite balance for the dark, geometric furniture, and those halo-wearing canines made sure that nothing was lacking on this special day. We especially love the pink watercolor curtain that served as an eye-catching ceremony backdrop. Jenna McElroy captured every small detail from the velvet ribbons that decorate the bouquet to the flash tat bar at the larger reception. We can’t wait for you to see it all!

Garden Party Wedding at Demetria Estate

Garden Weddings

Photos by:

onelove photography

Another onelove photography beauty and it takes place all in the majesty of the great outdoors at California’s Demetria Estate. Genevieve and Clark’s wedding is just so elegant and what I love the most about it is that despite hosting their big day outdoors, they pull in lovely, soft pops of color that simply work well with the vineyard surroundings. From the gray in Clark’s dapper suit to the sweet pink hue of Genevieve’s bridesmaids’ dresses and the dahlias in the centerpieces by Connor Casavan, it was all compiled so effortlessly by Emily Bowser. Enjoy this classic garden fête!

Grab some tissues, cause this one is a stunner! Equal parts whimsical and sweet, this real wedding between the Winnie and Jose has us smiling from ear to ear. Posies in pink garnish an impressive twig arbor and bouquets of peonies, roses, hydrangeas and hypericum berries abound, thanks to the handiwork of Botanica Lifestyle + Design. Marin Kristine demonstrates a tremendous eye for detail as she gives each DIY element a bit of permanence in her dreamy photographs. Just look at those tea leaf favors with personalized calligraphy from the bride herself! Leave it up to Tan Weddings & Events to coordinate such a marvelous celebration.

Park Winters Garden Wedding - http://ruffledblog.com/park-winters-garden-wedding

From the bride, Winnie: Our wedding vision was romantic with a touch of vintage. We also included a traditional tea ceremony before the western ceremony. The tea ceremony was important for us because it was a way to show respect to our parents and older family members. We invited family and very close friends only. I wanted to keep it small and intimate and I wanted all guests to enjoy every single moment of the night.

Colorful Modern Southern Wedding

Romantic Weddings

Lilly Pulitzer was always known for throwing a party with a punch, and the same holds true for Tyler and Connor! We can’t wait to spill the juice on this whimsical North Carolina wedding, whose vibrant display of limes, lemons and oranges balanced with bright pops of pink are giving us major wedding envy. A peony-lover’s dream, The English Garden provided lush blooms in varying shades of pink to remind us that heaven is a place on earth, and Emily March Photography tells a wonderful story through her breathtaking collection of photos from the day. Abundant in gold, glitter, pineapples and confetti, this fabulous fete was fun and fancy free, and we can’t imagine a happier celebration. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the brilliance of A Southern Soiree to curate each detail, so be sure to read on and add more color to your day!

wedding ceremony - http://ruffledblog.com/colorful-modern-southern-wedding

From the bride, Tyler: I envisioned a vibrant wedding, everyone having fun, just like a big party. My theme was Lilly Pulitzer; I have worked for the company and love everything about it. For my flowers I had peonies — they are my favorite and of course they had to be pink. Some advice I would give would be do not get stressed. Everything falls into place; it’s your wedding day have fun and enjoy it.

Intimate Nashville Wedding with a Blush Kimono Gown

Bohemian Weddings

Photos by:

Teale Photography

Not only is this bride’s blush pink kimono wedding gown a show-stopper in itself, it was an affordable find from ASOS! Mary Katherine and Matt had a day that was as nontraditional and eclectic as they are, with bridesmaids in all white and a guitar shaped wedding cake. The unbeatable combination of Teale Photography and Cedarwood Weddings did fantastic work on this one!

Eclectic Nashville Wedding with a Blush Kimono Gown - http://ruffledblog.com/eclectic-nashville-wedding-with-a-blush-kimono-gown

From the event planners and designers, Cedarwood Weddings: Mary Katherine and Matt raised the eclectic bar at their artisanal countryside Cedarwood wedding celebrating love, music and indie style. Mary Katherine and Matt wanted a colorful, unexpected and non-traditional take on wedding design. For starters: Mary Katherine wore an exquisite silk Kimono gown in the softest shade of blush, which she ordered online from ASOS! In a reverse from the norm, her bridesmaids wore white dresses, each one uniquely hand-picked for a mismatched but cohesive look. Guys wore their own versions of navy (jeans welcomed!) And the flowers… starting with blooms in the bride’s hair – the loveliest peonies and ranunculus – which also grace gorgeous, flowing-ribbon bouquets. And fresh, green garlands everywhere.

Mary Katherine and Matt met at a music festival and their eclectic style was studded with colorful, vintage glass, soft-colored blooms and of course, music. Because Matt works in the entertainment industry in tour production, he is well connected with artists, and gathered a group of musician friends to play reggae at their reception! We love Matt’s guitar-shaped groom’s cake, replicating his tattoo design (a surprise from his bride) and a tribute to the music that brought them together. Their lovely May Cedarwood Wedding celebration was impeccably photographed by Teale Photography, and we are smitten these images, and this day.

Grown Up and Elegant Pink Wedding

Elegant Weddings

Photos by:

Laura Ivanova

When your soon-to-be proposes to you in front of Cinderella’s castle at Disney World, it makes sense that you’d want to add some fairy tale elements into your wedding day in tribute. Laura Ivanova captured the wedding of Ashley and Jon, a couple who made sure their big day was totally infused with their personalities and loves. This included a heaping portion of pink blooms put together by Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling, ranging from roses to anemones to the all-time wedding favorite, peonies.

Elegant Calhoun Beach Club Wedding - http://ruffledblog.com/elegant-calhoun-beach-club-wedding

From the bride, Ashley: We wanted the entire day to be a reflection of our personalities and our relationship. Jon has always been traditional and a bit old-fashioned, whereas I tend to like things that are trendy and unique, so our wedding was a combination of our two styles. We also kept things fun and playful by adding in details that were special to us. Jon proposed in front of Cinderella’s Castle in Disney World, so we had fun creating a bit of a fairy tale theme to go along with that; my Hayley Paige gown (I called it my princess dress) and our ‘happily ever after’ cake topper were two places you can see that. Additionally, we had both lived our entire lives in Minnesota but knew that we would be moving to New Orleans shortly after the wedding, so we tried to throw in some very Minnesotan details where we could to celebrate the state we love so much! Our venues were situated in our favorite spot on the lakes in Minneapolis, just blocks from our apartment building. Taking pictures on the beach where we had walked so many times before felt special and almost surreal. Jon and I are huge hockey fans and one of our favorite things to do together is go to Wild hockey games so my parents surprised us by having the Wild mascot show up during our cocktail hour. Having him there was a huge hit with guests and the pictures that we got are priceless!

Pink has always been my favorite color so it was an easy choice for my flowers. My parents also had a pink wedding 30 years ago and their marriage means so much to me, so I wanted to give a nod to that. I am proud that even as a medical student, I managed to plan and execute a lot of the wedding details on my own! Two projects that I am really proud of are the Mr. and Mrs. signs for the back of our chairs at the reception and the table of photos displaying our parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Have fun with the planning! Try to throw in little details that are unique to YOU! I think it’s great to find inspiration from other weddings online and in magazines, but at the end of the day you should look at your wedding day and be able to say that no one else in the world could have a wedding exactly like yours. The personal details will be the ones that stand out when you think back on your day.

Dinosaur Inspired Wedding at Fernbank Museum

Whimsical Weddings

What better venue for two self-proclaimed “big nerds” than a museum of natural history? Jade + Matthew Take Pictures captured the wedding day of Jackie and Jon, who filled their day with bright and colorful decor (need we point out the amazing floral design by Artistic Flowers?) to complement the museum’s own architecture. Don’t miss a single second of this one!

Dinosaur Inspired Wedding at Fernbank Museum - http://ruffledblog.com/dinosaur-inspired-wedding-at-fernbank-museum

From the bride, Jackie: Jon and I both have a lot of family, so we knew from the start we would be having a large wedding. With that in mind, we wanted a setting that would be large enough to suit all our guests and still have a lot of personality. We looked at a number of hotel ballrooms that all looked supremely bland, so the architecture of the museum was refreshing… Oh, and we are both big nerds (Jon just got his PhD in Computer Science and I am a major pop culture and science fiction fan) and we love dinosaurs, so that helped. =)

You will notice from the photos that we wanted a lot of bright, beautiful summer flowers — especially because I had originally hoped for an outdoor wedding, which ended up being impractical in Atlanta in July. The colors were actually picked to match the watercolor image on our invitations. Jon and I were living in New York while the wedding was being planned so Wayne, our wedding planner, designer and florist, chose all the color combinations and planned all the table layouts, including the glassware, tablecloths, chairs and a variety of other things I never would have thought of on my own.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Our strongest advice is to look at a lot of photos for ideas and go into any conversation prepared with your own opinions. Pinterest helped us find a lot of creative direction for small details. Definitely don’t be afraid to listen to others’ ideas for creative direction, but if you find something you love, stick to it!

Garden High School Sweetheart Wedding

Garden Weddings

In our line of work, it never fails to warm our souls when we come across high school sweethearts. Newlyweds Chasni and Joshua couldn’t stop themselves from filling the day with little inside jokes, nods to their love for each other, and of course gorgeous visual treats for the guests in the form of the venue’s incredible Spanish moss. And did we mention Chasni’s Amsale wedding gown? Pinch me. Thank you to Virginia Ann Photography and Razzle Dazzle Event Decorating for your wonderful work on this day!

Garden High School Sweetheart Wedding

From the bride, Chasni: Of course when you start planning your wedding you want everything and Pinterest can definitely be at fault for that – LOL. I feel like the style I envisioned for our wedding was a mix between a shabby chic look along with boho touches here and there.

If I could best describe the look of our wedding I would say whimsical, elegant, and romantic. We didn’t have a theme but our color scheme was soft pinks, golds and ivory with touches of greenery everywhere! Oh and I’m such a DIY type of person, so with the help of my mother (and a few other family members) we tackled quite a few DIY projects throughout the wedding planning process. Some of the DIY projects included the wedding programs, our welcome sign, wedding invitations, the outdoor games – rings toss and cornhole boards, my bridal party’s jewelry – I made their necklaces and bracelets, “Here Comes the Bride” sign, my something blue keepsake garter with lace from my mothers wedding dress, and the list just goes on. My Dad is amazing and also helped with our DIY projects. He made me a palette coffee table that we used outdoors with a few other furniture pieces and it turned out great!

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Start early! The earlier the better, I’m one of those brides that did everything early and it really helped me out as we got closer to the wedding. I got so many things out of the way, even the small things you tend to forget about. For instance, parents gifts, bridal party gifts, wedding jewelry and accessories. I even started buying a lot of my wedding decor early on. I started grabbing those things about a year before the wedding and even throughout the planning. So, when I started to get organized and pull out everything from storage a few weeks before the wedding, I realized I had so many decorations and I was able use them all over the wedding venue! It was perfect.

Processional: “Marry Me,” Train
First Dance: “Thinking Out Loud,” Ed Sheeran; “Island Girl,” Tribal Seed

From the photographer, Virginia Ann Photography: Chasni and Josh are high school sweet hearts which meant their day was full of so many “I know you so well” touches. From their gifts to each other at the beginning of the day, a pair of sunglasses for her since she loves the beach and an awesome watch for him since fashion is so much a part of his line of work as a stylist, to the little looks and laughs from inside jokes they kept whispering to each other during portrait time. Their bond was so clear. The venue, The Ranch at San Patricio, couldn’t have been more idyllic, full Spanish moss covered oaks swaying in the breeze surrounding the little white chapel with the sound of the water trickling by from the small brook just behind. Their color palette of blush, gold, and pops of navy made for a classic strong look against the organic green background. All eyes were on Chasni as she walked the aisle in her stunning Amsale bridal gown to her groom. This day was one for the books!

Heavenly Wedding Inspiration with a Floral Swing

Wedding Design

Gauzy and dreamy, this Avec L’Amour Photography and Delighted Images shoot is the bee’s knees. Thuy from Avec L’Amour Photography orchestrated the fine details of the shoot and went for a romantic, carefree, and innocent setup, with the sweetest floral swing we’ve seen. Pineapple Petals Studio added to the mix by having heaps and heaps of the prettiest pink fleurs: bougainvillea, roses, tulips, and peonies, to name a few. We can never resist falling for an ultra-feminine shoot like this one!

From the photographer and event designer, Avec L’Amour Photography: California has a natural, golden beauty that is, in one aspect, so harsh, yet also so mesmerizing. The Bay Area is surrounded by golden hills that are often untouched, but only an arms length away. We, a group of Bay Area creative wedding professionals, decided to take a mid-season respite and refill our creative cup with a dream shoot that features some new and different things with which to inspire our clients. This shoot was photographed on both film for its dreamy qualities and digital for expediency. We combined the mediums in this gallery to show brides the seamless blending of hybrid photography, which allows for both cost effective services and true film range.

Before iPads and Pokemon GO, tree swings and warm afternoon breezes were one of the best memories of childhood summers. The quintessential symbol of carefree and happy, we incorporated a handmade rope swing with gorgeous vining bougainvillea and passion flower as a focal point for our model. To round out the look, we added vintage lanterns styled with tree of heaven clusters and more bougainvillea. Finding a hill with a lone, sturdy oak tree to provide an arm and canopy was the finishing touch that made it all feel romantic and heavenly!

The model’s pink champagne two piece dress is perfectly elegant yet playful with the beaded, French vintage inspired cropped camisole and a skirt made of layers upon layers of soft, lightweight tulle. Her light coverage, natural makeup look and loosely arrange low up-do accented with gorgeous handmade hair pieces gives her an organic, effortless look of beauty. Two bouquets were made to compliment this bride’s look — a sweet, but understated romantic arrangement and a more vibrant and textured bouquet. Both looks use the same color family, but feature different levels of vibrancy. Similarly, the menu and invitations showcase a watercolor floral scheme with gold flecked hand lettering to update traditional wedding paper design.

The tablescape is the real life embodiment of our vision of a perfect romantic dinner al fresco. Vintage French bistro chairs were given romantic flare when adorned with olive leaves and budding olives, while delicate, paper thin fuchsia bougainvillea added a feminine touch. The overflowing centerpiece of loosely arranged varieties of roses, tulips, tree of heaven, raspberries, and sweet peas made the rosé wine and lavender buds that much sweeter to sip! Because every dinner should end on a sweet note, the simple, two layered cake decorated with the most organic spray of jasmine vines and a single dusky pink lisianthus could not be more enticing!

Romantic Redwoods Wedding

Rustic Weddings

The California redwoods are such impressive creations of nature, and in all of their majesty, it’s no wonder why so many couples choose to get hitched there. It’s gorgeous! Victoria Carlson Photography snapped Lindsay and Eugene’s romantic wedding day to our delight. For color choices, Lindsay wanted to keep the focal point on all of the organic elements around, so a clean neutral palette with hints of greys and blues were important. There’s nothing more timeless than a pairing of white and green florals and root & riot did a fantastic job creating such complementary pieces. We give this wedding an A-plus!

California weddings - http://ruffledblog.com/romantic-redwoods-wedding

From the bride, Lindsay: Whenever my husband and I talked about getting married, we always knew we would say “I do” beneath the redwoods. My husband and I love being outdoors in nature, but one of our favorite places to be is amongst the trees. We wanted something simple, elegant, and timeless, yet also laid back and relaxed. My husband and I are not formal people by any means, so it was important for us to have an environment that was comfortable for our guests. Whenever people would ask me about the vibe of my wedding I would tell them, “it’s going to be a magical, romantic forest wedding!” I really feel like I accomplished this! But some more adjectives I used to describe the day were: ethereal and woodsy. Before I purchased ANYTHING I would make sure it stayed true to these descriptions.

Bouquet recipeMock-orange, white roses, white peonies, ferns… to name a few! My florists were amazing! I sent them a few inspiration photos that I found off Pinterest, and my task to them was to make me a beautiful, big, bouquet full of white flowers and ferns.

I chose a neutral color scheme and I feel like that perfectly complemented the gorgeous setting and the feel of the day. I knew I wanted my bridesmaids in different dresses and different colors, but was still somewhat particular on the dresses they chose. I ended up giving them 10-15 different dresses to choose from and everyone chose the dress that I wanted for them (without me saying a thing!). I thought they all looked beautiful! For the men, I think my groom looks so handsome in navy, so we found a gorgeous slate blue tux for him. He wanted to be in something different than his groomsmen, so we chose grey suits with navy ties for the rest of the guys!

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Stay true to you. It sounds cliché, but it is so easy to lose sight of you and your partner during the craziness of wedding planning. Remember that this day is about the two of you and the celebration of your love and commitment to each other – that is all that matters. I loved my wedding day and it went perfect, despite all the things that actually “went wrong” (like it raining on wedding day for our outdoor wedding!) But what I loved the most and what I remember the most are all the amazing moments shared between my husband and me.

Don’t worry about making everyone else happy and just worry about making you and your groom as happy as you can be! Also, we highly encourage a first look. I know it’s not traditional, but aside from saying our vows during our ceremony, our first look was the most special moment. I can’t even explain in words how beautiful that moment was, and one of the only moments of the day where it was just the two of us.

Tennessee Garden Wedding With a Green Bridal Skirt

Whimsical Weddings

Photos by:

Dixie Pixel

I have to say that there’s really nothing quite like fashion-forward, sartorially-chic brides that push the envelope, and Jenna fits that bill quite well. When Dixie Pixel‘s grand images of her in her green bridal skirt popped up, I knew we had something quite special here! Coordination was one of Evan and Jenna’s must-haves for their big day, so enlisting Southern Bliss Weddings to orchestrate all of the fine details was necessary and speaking of fine details, Megan Connors Floral and Styling worked wonders all over this event, from the bride’s bouquet to that astounding barn ceiling. Wait until you see THAT doozy.

unique wedding dresses - http://ruffledblog.com/tennessee-garden-wedding-with-a-green-bridal-skirt

From the bride, Jenna: Evan and I both love the rustic barn feel and the space that acreage provides. We knew from the beginning that we wanted an outdoor wedding with as many rustic elements as possible. We also agreed that we wanted items to have a special meaning, hence the doors from Indiana (his home state) and the lavender from my dad’s farm in Oregon. We asked a close friend to officiate the ceremony which could not have turned out any better. Our goal for the wedding was to create an intimate event for close friends and family that felt like an upscale backyard party.

Evan and I really wanted to stay with the rustic-chic look throughout the wedding but we were also careful to add some glamour to the barn atmosphere. Our color scheme included cream, hunter green and gold. Because the wedding was outdoors we wanted to really reflect the colors of the property while throwing in small pops of color for added brightness.

Oh the DIY projects… where do I begin? We had more than a year to plan our special day so a majority of the projects for our event became DIY. I designed and printed all paper elements (invitation packets, menus, thank you notes, etc.). Evan is a fantastic woodworker and I wanted his craftsmanship to be highlighted throughout our wedding. When he first took me to his parents’ home in Indiana, we found an old barn on his Uncle’s land with which I immediately fell in love. The barn was falling down and no longer of use to his Uncle’s farm so we asked permission to strip the wood for use on a later, and at the time unknown, project. The reception bar was built from barn wood we stripped in Indiana. Evan also built the ceremony backdrop and large double-door entrance using doors we found in an old antique shop in Indiana.

All of the wedding signage was built/stained/created and written by me. The lavender used to fill our “toss bags”, placed at the table settings and randomly stuck throughout the wedding decor was lovingly trucked back to Tennessee last September when we made a cross-country road trip to my dad’s home and lavender farm in Oregon. The cornhole boards were purchased unfinished and I completed them by staining and adding a gold H monogram. Evan created the ball jar lights from old canning jars we found while antiquing in Knoxville and Indiana. Lastly, many of the antique elements scattered throughout the wedding were purchased by Evan and myself while antiquing in Knoxville and Indiana (glass jugs, antique boxes, rustic letters, etc).

Our florist Megan, of Megan Connors Floral Design and Styling, really hit this event out of the park. She took the ideas I didn’t even know lived in my head and made them come to life. My bouquet was, in my opinion, one of the most fabulous arrangements I have ever seen and did you SEE what she did to the barn ceiling? Her style and creativity lead to the perfect amount of floral arrangements without overpowering the natural beauty of the venue.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Take your time and enjoy the process… and the correct vendors are EVERYTHING. Having vendors (photographer, caterer, florist) that I could count on really made the planning process a breeze. Because I trusted and valued their opinions I gave them some general guidelines but they pretty much were able to have creative license with everything. Another must for couples planning their wedding: A COORDINATOR. Amanda Graves with Southern Bliss Weddings was my lifesaver many times during the year we planned. Lastly, I would remind couples that this is THEIR day. Try not to get caught up in the “they invited us so we have to invite them” mess that sometimes comes with weddings. The whole point is to celebrate your love and the entire day should be exactly how you both imagined.

Romantic Weddings

Winter weddings can have their tricky moments to plan, but Carrie and Mike carried out their Philadelphia wedding day with such finesse and Redfield Photography skillfully captured all of the goodness on camera. We love that they chose a greenhouse setting and brought in beautiful, deep, jewel red colors and floral arrangements by their event and floral designer, Q|A Events; it brought a fun, vibrant feel to the whole event while keeping in line with the season. This is definitely one ultra-creative way to do a cool-seasoned wedding!

From the bride, Carrie: We envisioned a warm, romantic, bohemian feel for the wedding.  We originally wanted something laid back, but when we picked a winter wedding date we decided to dress it up a little bit while trying to keep the bohemian feel. We didn’t really have a color scheme, but we chose marsala and berry tones for our flowers because we thought it would compliment the greenery in the venue as well as the bridal party attire. We didn’t do any DIY projects, but I worked very closely with the event designers and I think we designed something amazing together!

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Start as early as possible and stay organized! Also, when things get overwhelming, make sure you take some time alone with your fiancé to have some fun together. It’s simple, but I think it was the only thing that kept me sane.
