Romantic Pescadero Wedding

Garden Weddings

Photos by:

Delbarr Moradi

I can’t even properly describe how quickly my heart beats when I think about this wedding from Delbarr Moradi and Enjoy Events Co. When these two pair up, sheer magic ensues – and this wedding is proof incarnate! Enjoy Events’ very own Shotgun Floral Studio was in charge of all floral design, and we’re so smitten with their coral and succulent combo.

From Enjoy Events Co.: Not only did we love every design element that went into creating this beautiful day, we absolutely adored the sweet couple we created it all for! Anna + Tim (2 of our faves) tied the knot in the picturesque coastal town of Pescadero, California. Friends and family came from far and wide to celebrate this Brooklyn couple who skipped town for their nuptials. Adorned in a stunning soft grey dress, the lovely Anna and dapper Tim said “I do” under a gorgeous branch, eucalyptus and floral arch.

The prominent pops of orange-y red complemented the seascape and wild brush setting idyllically while the paper goods, designed by Happy Menocal, added a sweet touch to the design elements. Attached to each escort card was a hand dipped piece of drift wood and at each guests’ seat sat a box with a slice of Anna’s grandmother’s homemade bundt cake. The evening progressed with some photobooth action, a dessert table packed with salt water taffy, pies and root beer floats AND an adorable Tattly tattoo parlor.

Southwestern Palm Springs Wedding

Bohemian Weddings

Photos by:

I think we’ve all noticed a recent uptick in the trend of southwestern wedding style, and I for one am thrilled to see all the different looks under this umbrella! Photographer Abi Q and Enjoy Events Co. joined forces in this phenomenal Palm Springs wedding to bring us some seriously beautiful nuptials. Can I just say how madly in love I am with the couple’s modern wedding invitations?

bride in field

From the bride, Nicole: We wanted the wedding to be modern and fresh, but also a little bit bohemian to incorporate our love of vintage finds. We were inspired by the location – at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains – to incorporate natural elements of the surrounding landscape to keep the decor feeling earthy and not overly done.

I fell in love with the gown immediately. It had a modern shape, which I was looking for, but was still very feminine and romantic. I also loved the texture of the fabric – I thought it was perfect for my fall wedding. I found the dress at Nordstrom with my mother, she helped me decide on the dress and also purchased it for me – it was something she had been looking forward to forever – very sweet.

The color scheme was inspired by the desert: pale peach, smoky persimmon, bone, agave green, natural linen. The mid-century modern architecture in Palm Springs inspired the lounge area and bentwood dining chairs – dipped in white and turquoise for a pop of color. Tribal print textiles were incorporated throughout the decor – from Ikat and Navajo throw pillows to brightly colored chevrons painted on the pedestals that flanked the ceremony location. Loose ribbons adorned the backs chairs of the bride and groom. Guests waved wands of feathers and ribbon as the new couple were announced. Succulent seating cards, place settings, menus, invitations, and all other paper goods were DIY by the groom, who is a brand identity designer.

San Francisco Black Tie Wedding

Romantic Weddings

Photos by:

This San Francisco affair from Edyta Szyzlo is so refreshing and clean! Bride Annette pulled together touches of green, white, and burlap (with the help of Enjoy Events Co., of course) to create a fresh, relaxing atmosphere.

A little bit from Enjoy Events Co.:

Collaborating with Annette and Danny on their San Francisco wedding was nothing short of a good time! Set at Terra Art Gallery with the open space and art work throughout, we loved adding a few handmade design elements to help round out their vision! Designing the ceremony backdrop by collecting different glass vessels and hanging them with cloth created a simple yet elegant element. The bride herself being a designer created all her paper goods which we helped gather by placing the menu and thank you note in a kraft bag with a custom stamp that we embossed for an extra touch. From the hand stamped menu bags, to the stencil wood piece table numbers and the flower backdrop we loved being part of Annette and Danny’s celebration! The happy couple put together such a beautiful day with some amazing vendors that we were lucky to have been part of!

California Hippie Chic Inspiration

Wedding Design

Photos by:

The best thing that Mondays can bring on chilly mornings like these is that we can almost peek at Spring coming right around the corner, and it’s only getting closer. This very favorite season of ours, combined with the talents of Tinywater Photography and Enjoy Events Co. is bringing us the San Franciscan flair with lots of inspiration for the hopelessly romantic and bohemian at heart.

From the ladies of Enjoy Events Co.: We envisioned the concept behind this California/Hippie chic shoot when the song “San Francisco” came on the radio. You know the one, “when you’re going to Saaaaan Fraaaaaaancisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your haaaaaaaaaair.” Being based in the Bay Area we knew we wanted to create a shoot that reflected the sun, splendor and natural beauty that is California (sf in particular) and what better venue then Foreign Cinema. This venue is quintessential San Francisco with its industrial yet organic feel. We wanted to incorporate lots of CA/Hippie chic things. Like water color, butterflies, flowy dresses, gladiator sandals and guitars. We created over a hundred hand cut-out + watercolor butterflies to place on the industrial wall to evoke a romantic vibe with a twist. We collaborated with the wonderful team over at twigss on the florals to design “wildflower” like blooms with a hint of “hippie”. We collected copper vessels and wood boxes to place the flowers in. From the stunningboutonniere, bouquet, floral “head piece” and centerpieces we loved the color the flowers brought to the table! For the table top we wanted to incorporate color with turquoise pottery plates, gold brushed flatware and a hand-painted a yellow table runner. We keep with natural hues like cream, yellow, copper and blushes to extenuate the hippie chic vibe. The shoot was captured perfectly to evoke the California feel we hoped for by Tinywater!

Whimsical Mountain Top Wedding

Rustic Weddings

Photos by:

This wedding exhibits perfectly how to let the sheer beauty of your location shine through. Frances and Ben chose to have their wedding on the top of a mountain — need we say any more? Delbarr Moradi was there to capture the day, with Emily Read Bentley of the ever darling event design and planning company Enjoy Events Co. aiding with day-of coordination with invites by Printable Press — and gosh, we are so smitten!

From the bride, Frances: We let our locations do a lot of the work for us. Mt. Tamalpais, where we had the ceremony, is probably the most epic place in the Bay Area. The amphitheater was perfectly suited to a Zen ceremony. Jeffrey rang a bell as we walked in, which was haunting and beautiful in the mist of the forest-quiet. Our guests couldn’t believe how magical it was. The tiny, secret coastal village of Bolinas, where we had the reception, was also pretty memorable.

My very favorite part was the little gold animals we put on each guest’s plate. My awesome new sister-in-law spray painted about ten thousand plastic animals for me. My lovely husband used a laser cutter to carve escort cards out of wood for everyone. We love Lord of the Rings, so we used a hobbity font, and then he stained them all fuchsia. He also designed and made the table number cards, the programs, and the menus.

Some of our other DIY elements were: the ribbon curtain behind our table, which I made myself; all the brass animals and vases on the tables, which we collected from the flea market over the course of many months; and the table runners, which my awesome mom sewed for me. We go to estate sales and flea markets pretty much every weekend anyway, so I started picking up things I thought I could use for the wedding—vases, little objects for the centerpieces, fancy plates for the desserts.

One of my favorite memories of the whole weekend was actually setting up and decorating the hall the night before. All my wonderful Michigan family and some friends did a midwestern barn-raising. I just remember one of my aunts saying, “okay go!” and then within seconds 40 people were everywhere working, uncles were up on ladders hanging Christmas lights, little cousins were assembling foil stars, aunts were ironing tablecloths… it was like an instant beehive of totally focused activity.

As a graphic designer, I believe that great graphic design is in the details {read: spending lots of time at the computer looking at pixels.} If you dont know what a pixel is- congratulations- because that’s why graphic designer types exist! {to save your eyesight} Really, though-design is more than matching colors and picking pretty fonts {but I do have major love for fonts} – it’s about conveying your message to the world with a swirl, a flourish, a dot, a pattern- whatever it takes to creatively encompass your clients vision and send that vision out into the world with impact.

That’s what I try to do. EMPHASIS on TRY. I adore designing and am currently the owner of NOTEDOCCASIONS.COM , an online site catering to everyone who loves having a party. And who doesn’t because as I see it, life’s a party!

From Edyta and the ladies of Enjoy Events Co.: We were inspired by gelateria style with a modern flair. Warm weather, spring time scents and the craving for a refreshing treat makes for the perfect day-time bridal shower. Seeking inspiration from old European street cafes mixed with vibrant ideas, we chose bright hues to compliment a clean and refreshing palate of white furniture. We focused on creating a fun atmosphere with colorful details for the sweet tooth-at-heart girlie get together. Our goal was to design homespun decor that anyone could re-create, such as DIY tissue flowers, multi-layered place settings and simple flower pieces in recycled jars. The ladies wore custom tailored frocks influenced by Parisian and Italian throwback styles with a hip twist. Custom gelato flavor labels, name cards and menus add a personal touch for the lady of the party. From a DIY monochromatic backdrop behind the gelato bar mixed with cute striped dishware settings, any bride-to-be would love yummy scoops of gelato and refreshing prosecco floats to satisfy her spring time craving!
