Spring in Bloom Brooklyn Wedding

It’s always a treat when we have a wedding to share shot by Jen Huang. Sarah and Ted wanted a “Spring in Bloom” mood with a retro 1950s feel, and I don’t think they could have chosen a more perfect venue than the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for their wedding day. The gorgeous vintage bride Sarah designed their own wedding invitations, and I’m loving them!

From the bride, Sara: Color is dominant! Each of my bridesmaids will be wearing dresses in the same gray shade, but they’ll be accessorizing and carrying flowers in their “assigned” color. Each of us accessorized in various shades of our color- monochromatic and layered- not all the same shade of blue, etc. We had multicolored blooms on the table, multi-colored fans for guests, a colorful candy buffet, and much more. As you can tell, I love color… However, I wanted to set the color against crisp white, so the table linens will be white, our cake is white with white sugar flowers, the gift boxes for guests are white with green ribbon. All in all it was a colorful and fun day!

I love her Priscilla of Boston dress. It was a perfect choice for their wedding! and those red lips! Amazing

  3. Weird comment? But I TOTALLY LOVE the bride’s name! Sara Harper? ADORABLE! Maybe Harper is just getting trendy as a girl’s name, and that’s why I like it, but you know if she took the groom’s name, and they had a baby they could name it Harper, I think it could be good for a girl or a boy and it would honor the mom’s family! Ha! Take that trendy people, they are being traditional! lol

That bridesmaid with the purple heels and fascinator has STYLE! ROCK ON, ROCK ON!! (And send me your hat now that the wedding is over. :) )
