Santa Barbara Wedding by Featherlove

Noa and Moe from Featherlove Photography sent us the cutest wedding! Evan and Stacie had the kind of wedding that makes you say “awww” – thanks to their cute little dog Oliver acting as ringbearer. He had a bowtie and ring pillow custom made just for him by some of Stacie’s family. I think it’s adorable when the entire family can help with the wedding, pets included, and come up with one beautiful soiree!

From the bride: We wanted our to feel like a small summer garden wedding. We wanted everything to feel very relaxed and happy – like a gathering of close friends and family just getting together to celebrate being happy and in love. I wanted it to feel light and airy during the ceremony, and warm and cozy for the reception.

My color scheme was neutrals – whites, creams, ivories, blushes and beiges. We did a few DIY projects – my very talented aunt made a gorgeous ring pillow out of vintage fabric, lace and silk ribbon that our ring bearer (our dog Oliver) carried down the aisle. And my cousin/maid of honor made Oliver a bow tie.

My dad made the large chalkboard which we wrote everyone’s names and table numbers rather than using escort cards. My uncle made us a sign that read “Evan & Stacie Wedding” to place outside the ceremony location. For our favors we made jars full of local Santa Barbara honey – we poured the honey into small jars, used vintage fabric for the tops, added honey dippers and tags.

SOOOO sweet! And you know I can’t help myself.. I love, adore and covet Oliver and his bowtie the most! Absolutely adorable. kuDOs (Juno voice) to the clever Aunty and cousin who whipped up that combo. The color palate is lovely and will transcend many trends. Neutrals, without a doubt are very fail safe.

Can I also say I’d like to stick my finger in your cake? It looks delish! :)

This is what weddings should be. I would much prefer to attend a gathering of family and friends that is a celebration of love rather than a stressful production with a huge price tag. I wish I’d have thought of making my dog the ringbearer – she probably wouldn’t have liked the pillow on her back much, but she’d have loved pigging out at the reception!

    Congratulations to the happy couple!

Such a perfect wedding! I love that it’s just the right amount of DIY, too. Sometimes people go overboard with DIY stuff and it makes things looks cluttered. Very pretty wedding.

Wow, aside from loving everything about this wedding, I can’t beleive how incredible the bride looks in that dress, I found this by searching for images of women in the Delaney that arent size 0 vera wang models, and it has made me so excited about wearing a dress like this for my own wedding!!!!
