New Orleans Masquerade Wedding

Goodness gracious, do we ever have a treat for you readers today. Bride Leslie set out to create a unique wedding, and that’s absolutely what she achieved with the help of her groom, Collin, and family members. She brought on the help of two photographers, Select Studios and White Lab Photography, to paint a perfectly distinctive tale of their vintage-inspired wedding which included masks, stilt-walkers, mimes, a fire performance, and oh-so-much more:

From the bride, Leslie: We wanted to create a unique wedding, a fun celebration! We have been together for 12 years; I met Collin when I moved to Houston from California. Since the day we met, we have not been apart! We currently live in Houston, TX but often travel to New Orleans, and we decided it would be a great city to have our friends and family from all over the states and Mexico to come visit!

We love anything vintage, antique, rustic, circus, masquerade, old films, vaudeville… so that was our theme for the wedding. As entertainment, we had mystery mimes, stilt walkers, a dog and clown act, and a fire performance! Our guests were a mix of high school friends, fashion industry friends, both of our families! We did a lot of DIY and involved our families and friends to help us as much as possible!

  • Absolutely beautiful wedding photos! Okay, I have to know – where did you get that fabulous mask with the extra long awesome feathers? I’m looking for something very similar in black.

  • Hi Michelle!
My husband and Sister helped me put it together. I collected Albino peacock feathers and ostrich feathers they dyed in tea and glued to mask. you can email me at leslierivas.stylist@gmail.com i will find where i bought the mask. Thx!
