One thing’s for sure, we’re always going to love a San Francisco City Hall wedding here at Ruffled — and today’s is extra-special. Misty had her friend and bridesmaid Sara Bareilles sing while she walked down the aisle to meet her groom. Ruth Anne Photography captured this New Year’s Eve wedding, which was full of gold, pink, and all sorts of romantic details:
From the bride, Misty: The feeling we were going for was candlelit and cozy. I wanted include all the traditional wedding goo but with a twist. Oh! And lots of sparkle – it was New Year’s Eve after all!
I guess you could say that it felt a little black tie (without the black ties!) classy with the satin linens and the gold chiavari chairs; we laid planks of wood down the long tables to add some dimension and a unexpected rustic flare. We used old cans filled with an ombre of pink flowers and wine bottles with candles dripping down – both painted out in gold – we had tassels hanging from the ceilings it was pure romance… So I guess that’s it! Romance, that was the theme…
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Get help! It’s the only way I could have done it… Don’t let anyone tell you it’s all hearts and flowers… it’s not. Remember it’s your day to remember and you will never please everyone! But as cliche as it sounds it was truly the best day if my life.
