New Ruffled is Here!
I am over the moon to announce that the new Ruffled is here. Ruffled is growing so quickly we needed a new home with plenty of room to accommodate over two year’s worth of content. There are also many, many new features and upgrades. Real Weddings can now be browsed by style, and diy projects are easily accessible with at-a-glance links. The classifieds got a major overhaul. We added, by popular request, a dedicated Wanted category, additional new categories and an improved messaging system for buyers and sellers.
One of our main challenges/goals was to come up with a tidy user-friendly layout. We added a Featured post section on the top right corner, a social media and subscribe buttons, and the much desired archives. One of my favorite features is the most viewed, most emailed and most commented posts. There you will find out what the wedding buzz is all about.
This spectacular site wouldn’t come to fruition if not for Heidi of Spitfiregirl Design and Otis of Example7. Over the few months we’ve been working closely together, and they’ve been extremely attentive to my concerns and requests. Needless to say, Heidi was spot on in identifying the Ruffled brand and the site ended up being light years better than what I could have imagined. Otis is probably one of the most patient people I’ve ever met. He literally worked day and night on the site. Thank you!
At this point you’re probably wondering what the other logos are for. The biggest new features of the new site is the launch of our sister sites: Blue Label, The Loop and The Shop. Blue Label is our go-to guide for the coolest vendors around the globe, launching soon. Please contact Sarah sarah@ruffledblog.com for more information.
The Loop is an exciting new section coming in the next few months. More details to come! The Shop is a project we’ve been working on since the beginning of the year, so keep your eyes peeled for its big launch in 2011!
