New Orleans Theme?

If my fiance could have his way, we would be having a Jazz Age New Orleans themed wedding.  Which would be absolutely fabulous, except for the fact that we’ve never been to New Orleans, and don’t intend to in the near future.

So, I dedicate this post to Jay.  I’m sorry honey. Maybe for our next wedding we could use these:

P.S. if you’ve never been to White Aisle, I suggest you check it out. Lots of fun vintage-y wedding paper.

May these guys could play for the reception?

A little Louie Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, maybe some “When the Saints go Marching In…”

For the centerpieces?

And for decorations, this would be a must have:

The real vintage parasols hanging from the ceiling are from the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. One of our favorite places to eat, and also the closest we’ve ever come to New Orleans…  Paired with some twinkling lights, the parasols would make a magical setting for a reception.

Oh! Think of the possibilities. Cascading wisteria!  Street lamps!! Toy trumpets for favors!!!  sigh… I could always start planning our vow renewal now…

xoxo- jenny
