Garden Bride Flower Guide

When expert floral designer Jillian of Mimi Nicole Events combines forces with Catherine Mead Photography, it’s no surprise that the result is this gorgeous exposition of a fluffy pink and ivory floral arrangement. The pop of hot pink ranunculus is just enough to modernize this take on a classic feminine bouquet – also perfect for Mother’s Day!

From Jillian of Mimi Nicole Events: For this arrangement, I envisioned a very classic and sweet bride and groom who wanted an elegant, garden wedding. They would bring in family heirlooms {like the silver pedestal bowl we used} to use as decor and, of course, the bride’s favorite, yummy-smelling flower Hyacinth would be included in the arrangement. I love the mix of pale pinks, creams, and whites with a fun pop of hot pink from the ranunculus — perfect for a sweet, fun couple!

I bought about $130 worth of flowers to create this arrangement, plus the bouquet with plenty of leftovers. The most expensive of the bunch were the ranunculus. If you’re wanting a similar look, but without the higher price tag you can always ask your florist to sub in a more inexpensive variety of flower. So, maybe instead of ranunculus you might add in a hot pink carnation for that fun, pop of color or instead of the pale pink roses you might consider adding in more hydrangea {a very cost friendly flower}, but in the same pale pink as the roses. When in doubt, ask your florist–they’ll know the perfect substitution!
