Monochrome Phoenix Wedding

Sometimes there’s just nothing like the calmness of a monochrome palette – and this wedding from Jason + Anna Photography proves that monochrome never has to equal boring in any way. Caitlin and Nic brought some glamour to their Arizona wedding with touches of beading and crystals, faux fur, and a touch of color in the paper goods.

From the designer, Rachel of Outstanding Occasions: From the very start, Caitlin and Nic knew they wanted their wedding day to be anything but ordinary, which is why they selected Scottsdale, Arizona for their destination wedding. The stunning Sanctuary Resort & Spa on Camelback Mountain set the stage for their modern romantic fete. To keep the wedding design modern and elegant, the couple choose a neutral color palette of white, ivory, and champagne with touches of color throughout their stationery.

To set the tone for their festive celebration, guests received hand illustrated wedding invitations along with a viewmaster featuring images of Caitlin and Nic throughout their courtship. The illustrated details carried over to the wedding day throughout their remaining stationery details. Their ceremony was initially planned for outdoors, but with the quick changing weather forecast it had to be moved inside, which resulted in a beautiful and intimate setting.

Once the ceremony had concluded, guests were welcomed to cocktail hour which stood atop Camelback Mountain and offered 180 degree views of the valley. Cocktail hour featured a more modern aesthetic with acrylic light up high boys and petite calla lilly arrangements. Once it was time for dinner, guests found their seating assignments by way of escort cards styled in the same fashion of viewmaster windows. The reception included a mix of round and long tables, dressed in luxe white linens with modern clear ghost chairs. The room was decorated with three different floral arrangements including tight white floral with dripping calla lilies, as well as two lounge vignettes featuring custom pillows with the bride and grooms initials. To tie the viewmaster invite in one last time, we had a custom designed photo booth backdrop with an illustrated Arizona desert landscape for guests to take photos in front of. At the end of the night, guests were sent home with a Cronut tucked inside a frosted white bag and closed with a custom sticker featuring the couples names and date.
