Modern DIY Brooklyn Wedding

Brooklyn weddings are always fun! Intimate and stylish, these couples have a way of making their weddings a mirror image of their personalities. Ezra and Lilly’s wedding at MyMoon, shot by Betsi Ewing Studio and Sasha Felix Photography was just that. The couple made many of the handmade details, including the colorful terrariums placed on the tables that we loved.

From the photographers, Betsi Ewing and Sasha Felix Photography : Ezra and Lilly got married in Brooklyn at one of my favorite intimate venues – MyMoon restaurant. A Brooklyn space filled with warmth and character. They had DIY details galore. Each table was decorated with handmade terrariums, filled with succulents and miniature dinosaurs! The bride and groom were relaxed from the beginning and just wanted to enjoy their day, with family and friends who traveled from far and wide, from California to Israel.

It was a warm July day, getting up to 98 degrees at it’s peak but Ezra and Lilly were good sports for making photo stops along the way to the MyMoon. We photographed the two on top of Lilly’s sister Ali’s Williamsburg roof, with Manhattan skyline views as the backdrop. We also stopped at a favorite neighborhood spot, colorful graffiti walls on Kent Ave. Lilly wore beautiful jewelry which had been in her family for ages, her grandmother wore the same necklace at her own wedding. You could truly see the love that they had for each-other, sometimes it was as if no one else was in the room. They were completely in the moment, It was one of the sweetest weddings I have had the pleasure of being a part of.
