When you put together neon and the phenomenal stationers at Minted, you have what we like to call a win-win. Good-bye lemons, hello oranges! Honeysuckle has gone the way of 2011 and the New Year is all about Tangerine Tango, Pantone’s 2012 color of the year. Luckily, Minted has plenty of wedding stationery from their stable of indie designers from all over the world that look great in orange. Minted hosts monthly design challenges that any designer can enter so they really have dozens and dozens of aesthetics—there really is something for everyone, but everything is exceptionally fresh and current!

And of course any bright colors (think neon!) are super in right now, thanks to the runway’s influence on wedding stationery. Those bright colors, or whatever colors you choose, will look even more stunning on Minted’s thick, luxurious paper stock. Here, ‘The Happy Couple’ by R Studio, out of Syracuse, NY, color really takes the cake, capitalizing on clean design and lots of empty space.

The great thing about Minted is that their save the dates and wedding invitations are fully-customizable so even though you don’t see loads of orange on their site, every save the date and invitation is available in any color under the sun and you can also change things like fonts, icons, you name it—they’ll do it—ensuring no one sends out an invite that looks anything like yours! This Seaside Design by Dallas-based Palm Papers couldn’t be a cleverer invite for a beach wedding!

I love the trend of weddings being so much more personal these days. They are feeling more intimate and family oriented. Originally I knew that’s what I wanted my wedding to be like and after finding blogs such as Ruffled Blog, I realized it wasn’t as unique as I had thought (which in many ways is quite nice because this blog has helped me immensely) but it’s also great to see people putting so much heart & soul into their special day!!!

Ombre has always been a favourite of mine, you can’t go wrong with different shades of your favourite hue. Colour wise, I’d go for different shades of grey in an ombre style, but incorporate peaches and pinks for an added pop! Romance & Shabby Chic is a trend I will forever be in love with :) xoxo

I am swooning over all the DIY projects and ways to make my wedding personal, reflective of what we love and enjoy and the overall thriftiness of it. I love yellow & grey as an inspiration palate, however, I’m finding our wedding turning into a colorbomb. The more color the merrier. Love Minted invites. Anything colorful!!

Well as I live in the UK, the style is so different here so I check Ruffled everyday because I love the rustic and vintage style photography.

My photographer is under strict instruction to get inspiration from the lovely weddings featured on Ruffled.

I just love love love the rustic, woodsy style weddings.

We’re going for a fall wedding so deep orange is the way it’s going. Like the tangerine but a shade darker and more burnt.

I am loving navy blue with pops of bright color – I’m thinking navy, yellow, and purple for spring 2013 wedding. I also like that invites are getting more creative and less formal.
Fingers tightly crossed on this one!
