Krista + Daniel’s London Meets Brooklyn Wedding

Krista, from New York City and Daniel, from London decided to go for a London-meets-Brooklyn affair and the result is a gorgeous city chic wedding. Their wedding cake design consisted of the London Tower Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge and a city skyline, with a small plane on the top tier representing their endless travels to meet one another. They chose a color palette of teal, plum and turquoise that when combined with peacock feathers, created a cohesive style that carried throughout the day. Krista’s bouquet was made from anemones, tulips, calla lilies, poppies and peacock feathers, which may be one of my favorite bouquets incorporating feathers! Shot by Julia Newman, whose work never cease to amaze me.

As the beautiful bride’s aunt, I guess I’m a little biased, but I have to say the wedding, the dresses, the cake, but most of all the bride and groom, looked GORGEOUS! Everything non-traditional about this wedding made this the BEST wedding I’ve ever attended.

Gorgeous! What a fun color combo. Do you have a source for the bridesmaids dresses? Are they all one designer or mix/match?

As cousins to the bride, my sisters and I were among the guests who attended the very beautiful, and variably imaginative wedding of Krista and Daniel…..for each detail that included, yet not limited too can only be described in one word: Exquisite!
