Long Beach DIY Wedding

Today’s bride and groom put together their amazingly creative minds and hands to pull off their Long Beach, CA wedding. The groom, Jonathan, is a jeweler who made all of the groomsmen’s cufflinks, the centerpieces, and the altar, while Amy took on the flower arrangements. They lined the altar with Amy’s grandmother’s quilt, which was also used in their engagement session and it was their main source of inspiration for their wedding. She wore vintage wedding dress she found in Chile and had it altered with added flutter sleeves… Just wait until you see her amazing birdcage veil! Thanks to Chad Cress for sharing this wedding with us.

  • Where did you make your photo guestbook? I’m looking for a good website to order one from.

  • shutterfly.com i did the 8 inch book, and it was kind of small for us, but we had 300 people at our wedding. and everything under 10,000$ and planned in 2 months while in school full time and working, of course it helps to have a mcgiver handy man as a fiance…

  • It was a beautiful wedding and both Amy & Jonathan worked so hard. The back drop was individual strips of fabric that were cut and tied to twine – took two hours to hang and place just right!

  • Love all the colour in this wedding! The monkey cake toppers are adorable and the cake beneath them looks super gorgeous. The string theming throughout is so creative, i love it!
