I am not a huge sweets person. Don’t get me wrong, I need my chocolate fix as much as the next girl, but when it comes to foodie weaknesses, I am more of a chips and queso/salsa kind of lady. I do, however, love cake. When it is homemade and light and moist… it is awesome.  Here is the dellima. I don’t love wedding cake. They just don’t ever taste nearly as good as they look. Now don’t get me wrong, I know there are delicious confections out there with beautiful multi-tiered lovliness, but it just isn’t my favorite. Know what I mean? 

Solution. I will not have a traditional wedding cake. I have seen this in the blog world and I love it. I will have a variety of cakes on my cake table and they will be sitting on a variety of vintage cake stands that I have been collecting! I can’t tell you how excited I am about this little detail of our wedding. Plus I get to keep the cake stands :) Here are the flavors that we have decided on: 

1. Italian cream with cream cheese icing

2. German Chocolate

3. Yellow cake with fudge icing

4.  Raspberry cake with white chocolate icing

5.  ????

Clearly we are still working on cake number five!
