Kathy + Adam’s DIY Wedding

This crafty DIY wedding was shot by the talented Nadine from Love Me Do Photography. Everything was handmade, from food to decor! Their guests must have felt special being invited to a wedding where love is poured over. Kathy also knitted her own wedding dress! The ceremony and reception took place at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, and they couldn’t have gotten any luckier with a such beautiful day.

How adorable is their wedding cake? And what about their DIY bookmark favors? La la love!

From the bride, Kathy:

We basically had around 64 people and around 10-12 of those were kids! Here is a list of people we used for vendors:

Cake: Whipped Bakeshop, Zoe Lukas.

Photography: Love Me Do Photography Nadine Rovner.

Hair: Jessica was kind enough to come to my apartment the morning of the wedding. Jessica at House Productions.

Fabric: I made fabric table runners with a folksy print I had. I also used a number of solids which I purchased from Spool Sewing. (Kaffe Fassett’s shot cotton, Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton, and a huge amount of Stephanoise 100% cotton Ric Rac). http://www.spoolsewing.com

Dress: I knit my wedding dress from a Vogue Knitting pattern, but ordered the yarn from Loop Yarn. The yarn was Filatura di Crosa Millefilli Fine.

Flowers: We ordered a mix of ranunculus from The Flower Exchange.

We also used loose flowers from Whole Foods for my bouquet and extras around the pavillions.

Food: Cosmic Catering

OMG I can’t believe she knitted her own dress, that is so cool! It is really beautiful. Love all the little colorful details too.

I love that you used ranunculus. It’s my favorite flower and I hardly see them in weddings!

Lovely dress! And to think she knitted it herself… that’s so WOW!!! I thought my embroidered, beaded gown (to-be) is hard work enough…but Kathy beats me! :-D
