Cheery Portland Wedding

This cheery Portland wedding has sunshine in all the right places: in the sky, on their faces and in their happy yellow decor! The bride and groom pulled their wedding together based around the color yellow and they used it to unite their sweet outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Check out the gallery for all the adorable images, especially the portraits of the couple!

The bridesmaids wore their own yellow shoes and carried stunning sunflower-based bouquets that the bride, her mom and best friend put together the day before the wedding. So cute!

The bride and groom portraits taken around Portland are so fresh and sweet and I love that they traveled via adorable pedi-cabs all day. They make for great photos!

While the ceremony and reception flowers were put together by friends and family, the bride carried around a bouquet made of colorful vintage brooches. What a perfect wedding keepsake!

I love the vintage brooch bouquet and her simple, beautiful dress — any idea where she got her dress or who makes it?

Beautiful! I love it. I really adore that ruffled yellow fabric in the last shot. Was that a photo backdrop? Where did that come from? It totally rocks in color and texture!

I loooove the yellow! It’s so happy! If I were to do it all over again, I’d probably choose yellow. The only thing that held me back from that was the yellow reads a white in black & white photos. So, I chose shades of pink. Oh my gosh! Love the cake toppers, love the bouquet, love the bridesmaid’s shoes. This is why I love being a wedding photographer in Portland. You can’t really depend on the weather, sometimes you have to bring your own sunshine!

Thank you Christy!!! You looked absolutely stunning in the dress and it’s just what I’m looking for – body hugging and with sleeves but not matronly. You’ve made my day. :)

Hi fellow wedding lovers…. bride here again. To answer a couple more questions.. The yellow backdrop is a curtain from Urban Outfitters, and the ties were handmade by an etsy seller. You can find her here:
