Harper Fowlkes House Wedding

This cutie of a wedding styled by Morgan Gallo Events brought newlyweds Erin and Justin’s love of books to all aspects of the wedding, right down to the cake itself. We’re particularly loving the signage cutout from an open book, below:

From the event designer, Morgan: Erin and Justin were married in the spring of this year at the Harper Fowlkes House. (One of our favorite venues!). However the weather wasn’t cooperating and because of the rain we had to move the ceremony indoors but that didn’t matter one bit! Nothing was going to damper the excitement and love that these two shared. Erin has fabulous taste and a keen eye for design. I mean look at that fabulous head piece, shoes and dress! She did an amazing job incorporating the most intricate and unique details that told the story of her and Justin and their love for one another.

The couple’s love of books was incorporated throughout the wedding in so many unique ways. From accenting the reception tables by helping elevate centerpieces and add dimension, napkin sashes made from pages of books, the wreaths are made of paper flowers and for the guest book. We just adore the pomander ball she had for the flower girl and wreaths for the garden doors made from pages of a book. The show-stopper had to be their wedding cake. If you look closely at the cake writing… it is their favorite poem about marriage written around the cake. Guest favors were plant your own seeds and they found their seats by old skeleton keys tagged with their names.

  • Loving all of these sweet details! The keys escort cards, the text printed on the cake, center pieces and the bridesmaids attire… all to die for!!

  • Wow, this wedding is so pretty! I love the fact that they designed their wedding based on their love of books…you can really see that with their beautiful decor! And the bride’s dress and hairpiece are absolutely stunning!

  • This is a lovely wedding. Does anyone happen to know where her fascinator is from?

  • I have seen beautiful weddings, but this one should go in the books as the most prettiest, peaceful looking and simplistic weddings I have ever seen. Kudos to the wedding event planners.

  • Love the mixed yet matched bridesmaid dresses. Does anyone know where they are from??

  • Thank you all for your nice comments on our daughter’s wedding photos. Sorry this is coming late as I just came across this website. For those who has had questions…

Her fascinator is from The Collection in Winter Park, FL.

The Bride’s jewelry (earrings & necklace) is heirloom jewelry from her Grandmother. We had the chain altered to accommodate the dress neckline and added a blue topaz tear drop to the back for “something blue” and a little sparkle.

The other necklace with the book pages – I don’t know as they were a gift from the Bride to her bridal party.

As for the brides maids dresses… I don’t recall the name of the seamstress but they were custom designed in Orlando.

So happy you enjoyed the pics!

  • Beautiful wedding! I love the cake! I am going to try to recreate a similar cake for my sister’s wedding. Do you happen to know what the roses on the cake are made from, how they got the writing on the roses and the name of the baker? Her wedding is very soon so I would love any information you can give me! Thank you!

  • I love the pots with the plantable paper heart! I’ve never seen miniature pots that cute! Where are they from? Really special wedding, by the way!
