Gold Yarra Valley Wedding

Gold Yarra Valley Wedding

All it took was one glimpse at bride Eileen’s wedding gown before we became fully obsessed with this wedding — a non-traditional gold sequin number designed by none other than Eileen herself! Photographers Love Katie + Sarah knocked every detail of this wedding out of the park.

  • That dress is amazing! Congratulations to the newlyweds.

  • She is gorgeous.
Now….everyone takes photos of the brides shoes and I never care.
But I am wear a knee length soft gold dress and am figuring out my shoes.
    No shoe photo.
    Help.

  • I love a bride that has a mind of her own and steps outside of the box and pushes the limits. The gold is unique and certainly expresses her personality. Love the post. Thanks.

  • OMG. That wedding dress is BEAST! lol. But seriously, it’s gorgeous and unique & I would adore seeing a bride in one of these!

  • THE most gorgeous dress I have ever seen. WOW, what a stunner!! Let me know if you’re looking to sell it- I would LOVE to wear it to my wedding at the end of September!

  • My dream dress – no words can explain how stunning this dress is! Would anyone be able to tell me who the bride got to make her dress?!

  • Hi guys!

Thanks for the gorgeous words about this wedding. It truly was the most spectacular dress!

Eileen wore black stilettos for her shoes which looked great with her bold black eyeliner.

The dress she designed herself, the sequined fabric was sourced in India and she had a Melbourne dressmaker pull it all together.

    Hope this helps!

    Sarah xo

  • Love Love love the dress – did she go to India and source the fabric or was it done online?

If it was done on line is she willing to share the source? Having real difficulties in the Uk finding fabric within my budget for my dress.

    Many thanks

  • AMAZING dress, and I love her red nails and ponytail!

Like Amy, I’m in the UK and I’d also love to know more about the process the bride went through to source the fabric. I’m trying to match the (also sequinned!) fabric of my own dress to have some alterations done and it’s proving to be a bit of a nightmare to find anything like it this side of the world, so any info she might be willing to pass on would be massively appreciated. Thanks x

  • This is also my DREAM wedding dress… I have been searching everywhere in Sydney and Melbourne for something similar but just can’t find it. Would you be able to share the Melbourne dressmaker who created the dress? They did an amazing job. Is Eileen a designer herself? Any extra info would be greatly appreciated. I too would LOVE to buy the dress if she is looking at selling it!!!

  • Hi there 🙂

I accidentally found myself at the workshop Melbourne designer who made this dress in my hunt for something completely different (but white!). Before I knew it she had me draped in gold and I had signed up for this dress!

She is an amazing designer – Jane Hill of Melbourne. She’s lovely to work with.

My wedding is in Jan, and I will most likely (reluctantly) need to sell this dress, so if you’re keen, perhaps check out some Melbourne based dress sites around Feb/March. Or sooner if you yell loud enough in the comments section! Ha!

    • I’m also a huge fan of this dress! Anna, I’m sure you’ve already sold the gown but could you let me know how much it cost for you to have it made? Thanks so much!!

    • Hi Anna,

I am in love with this dress!! I am wondering if you could please let me know how much this dress cost via email on danielle.jorgensen89@gmail.com as I can’t find any info on this on the net.

Thank you so much for your time, hope to hear from you!

      Danielle 🙂

  • YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!! Is that loud enough????!!! Please let me know when you will be selling it as this would be perfect timing for me as my wedidng is in October. Please contact me on my personal email: bsimons@djrd.com.au and we can exchange info… sizes/cost etc. I’m a bit confused as to whether this is the bride on this blog (Eileen) as you say your name is Anna???

  • Hi there Beck – no, I’m not Eileen – I just found myself at the same designer who steered me in this direction! haha. I’ve emailed you x

  • YES PLEASE! Me too Anna! Would you mind emailing me your size details etc also?! (shana.lea@hotmail.com). THANK YOU!!

This wedding is stunning, as is the bride, but THE DRESS?!?! AMAZING.

  • Hi there

I just wanted to say “hi” and tell you that your dress inspired me so much that I had my own version of it made for my own nuptials last year (2013).

It’s funny to think a perfect stranger played such an influential role on our days (We had 4 weddings!!).

    Thanks!
    Sally

    • Hi Sally, Congratulations on your wedding! I really love the Jane Hill Sabine dress too and I would also like to get my own made too. I’m in Melbourne and would like to know if you had your dress made by Jane Hill or a different dress maker and are you also looking at selling your dress? Please feel free to email me at tiaz28@hotmail.com

      Thanks,

      Tia

    • Hi Sally,

I would love to hear how you went about getting your dress made… Did you source the material independently? Did you make your own design with your own dressmaker (and if so, who?!)? Or did you go to the dressmaker Jane Hill?
If you could please send me an email on danielle.jorgensen89@gmail.com I would really appreciate it!!!!

      Thanks so much,

      Danielle

  • Well it looks like we are all mega fans of gold sequins! Did anyone have the dress made? I live in London and jane hill can nay make by post. Anyone got one to sell?

  • February 2016
I just bought this dress!! My daughter wanted it so badly, but it was so expensive it didn’t look like we would be able to obtain it…. then a wonderful person named “Danielle” told me about a website called “still white”…. I found the dress the next day! Thank you Eileen, Jane Hill, and Danielle for helping make my daughters dream come true. Most of all thank you Brylie who sold us the dress and answered my thousands of questions…. sending picture after picture and mailing the dress to us so quickly…. As far as I know this is the first “Sabine” gold sequined dress in the U.S.!!!
