Glamorous Venues: New Canaan, Connecticut

Loving today’s venue feature… gorgeous location that makes an awesome backdrop for photos.

From their website:

Waveny House, a large Tudor mansion, was constructed in 1912 for the Lewis Lapham family, and was purchased by the Town of New Canaan in 1967. The first floor of Waveny House consists of the grand hall, library, sitting room, dining room, breakfast room, billiard room, a patio overlooking the beautiful grounds, and a complete commercial kitchen. On the second floor are four gracious rooms used for conferences and meetings. Waveny House (capacity 160) may be rented for meetings, social events, and cultural activities. Information and application for use of Waveny House are available at the New Canaan Recreation Department Office.

Bonus: the rental fee includes 10 hours use of the House, patio, and the surrounding lawn. Tables, chairs, china and flatware are provided for 160 people.

I’m always searching for non traditional wedding venues, so if you know of an unique venue in your area, drop me a line!
