Sydney Garden Wedding

Today’s stylish wedding comes straight from and an adorable coastal town “down under.” It’s chock-full of sweet DIY elements and colorful details. Her flowers, inspired by Australian natives, are absolutely stunning and the inclusion of the bride’s primary school students in her ceremony is one of the sweetest touches I’ve ever seen. Thanks Caspix Photography for all the lovely images!

From their photographer, Cassandra. Laura, a primary school teacher and Mark, a marketing director, created the most gorgeous setting with all the details reflecting their personalities and relationship. The theme of the wedding was vintage and handcrafted and they married at a little park in Potts Point, Australia, overlooking Sydney Harbour.

As the bride walked the aisle of pink and white petals, all her school students held out hand crafted hearts on a string. All around the park were paper flowers as well and they used two bales of hay at the top of the aisle for some more seating.

The handcrafted touches continued at reception with vintage style glass jars and flowers, handmade terracotta table numbers made by the bride herself were surrounded by tea lights everywhere.

The cake was magnificent with beautiful green and brown layers made by a local baker.

  • I love the colour scheme and the use of Australian natives! I found it amusing that the opening paragraph referred to Potts Point as a small coastal town; it is, in fact, a high-income suburb of the city of Sydney, Australia’s largest and most populated city with a population of over 4 and a half million people 😀

  • Hi Tender!

We didn’t refer to Potts Point as a small or large town, just as a coastal town 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
