Christina Bernales, you’ve sure got a winner here. Phoebe and Adrien’s wedding day was the perfect garden wedding — relaxed, intimate, and surrounded by the best that nature has to offer. We adore that the entire reception was filled with hanging light bulbs at every turn! Let’s Pretend Catering and In Full Bloom were brilliant as the coordinator and florist, respectively.

From the bride, Phoebe: The style was rustic chic with bits of our personalities and things that were special to us as a couple sprinkled throughout. We wanted it to be laid back and fun, but when you stepped back you could see how romantic everything was. We had greys, blues, & beige as a base tone with pops of bright colors from the royal blue vases to the bright yellow sunflowers and splashes of red, green and white. We built our own giant sized Polaroid frame out of a dry erase board for people to take photos and write messages on. We also hand wrote out table place cards and table numbers on thick kraft paper which became part of an table seating display built in collaboration with our amazing florist.

There were so many beautiful flowers used on the day. Not one arrangement on the table was alike, which, along with my lack of flower knowledge, makes it hard to remember what type of flower was in each! For my bouquet I really wanted that flowing look as apposed to a tight bouquet. There were ranunculus, poppies, and roses, just to name a few, with splashes of little yellow flowers with bright green leaves. The florist did an incredible job. It was perfect.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? There will always be something to do, so the sooner you get stuff done, the sooner you can sit back and relish those moments like discovering your dress, instead of worrying about the next thing you have to do. Have fun, have a sense of humor, and when things get stressful have a margarita. This is a celebration if you caught up in all the minuet details you’ll forget that. Your day goes by fast, so don’t sweat the small stuff and you will never notice if the napkins were square instead of rectangular.
