Stylish Wedding in Toronto

We love a couple that just has fun on their wedding day, and judging by these images from A Brit & A Blonde, tons of fun was had on Adrienne and Sean’s big day. Surrounded by gorgeous floral arrangements by Botany Floral Studio and sweet handcrafted details like the custom blueberry favors, this wedding is bound to inspire!

From the bride, Adrienne: Because we got married in October (in Canada), we knew it would be cold, but hopefully sunny. I wanted to incorporate clean, crisp elegance with earthy, fall elements. The colors were reflective of a fall evening with a bit of black and white glamour, lots of lush greenery, rustic twigs, shimmering metallics and warm blush and coral tones.

Flower recipe: I wanted lots of cascading greenery and natural, imperfect arrangements. They contained black and white anemones, peonies, English roses, dahlias, and rununculus.

There were some cardboard letters with our initials and the word LOVE strung on the wall that my mom and sister and I made into ‘living gardens’ by filling them with flowers and greenery. Sean (groom’s) family is from Eastern Canada where blueberries grow wild. They picked and made jam for us for our favors.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? All the details that seem so overwhelming will all come together, and no one will even notice the little things that go wrong. And book several wine tastings for your sanity 😉

From the photographer, A Brit & A Blonde: Adrienne is one of the coolest brides ever. With her amazing short pixie cut that she rocked with such a rock n’ roll chic vibe. Her gorgeous Vera Wang dress was paired with a leather jacket for some photos when it got a lil cold out. Adrienne and Sean said their I do’s in October – right when all the fall leaves were changing colour. Which made for some really gorgeous colours in the backdrop. They chose the Evergreen Brickworks in downtown Toronto for their I do’s. Adrienne is from the west coast and Sean is from the east coast of Canada. Sean’s sister actually made the arbour where they said their I do’s. Using wood and rope to symbolize the sailors of the east and the cattlemen of the west. It was a really perfect touch which meant so much to the couple. The ceremony took place outdoors – we adore the florals on the chairs they looked incredible. Adrienne DIY’d the floral letters with their initials as well as the word LOVE. They offered hand tied jam jars from Newfoundland where Sean is from – as wedding favours for their guests. There was no sit down meal – it was food stations and delicious spreads of cheese and charcuterie that guests could indulge in. The reception was decorated with rustic and glam elements. The florals were beyond perfection.
