New Year’s Eve Wedding

New Year’s Eve Wedding

Every once in a while we hear a love story that appears to be straight out of a movie screenplay — Christina and Brandon’s story is definitely that, and it’s guaranteed to start your weekend off on a sweet note! The newlyweds planned this gorgeous wedding in a whopping two weeks, recruiting the help of Brooke from Blush Photography to capture the stunning day. You’ll want to take a few minutes to soak in this precious story:

From the bride, Christina: So I have a rash romantic love story. We grew up in the same neighborhood. Our families were lifetime friends. His mom tricked him into asking me out and we had the best date of our lives – we laughed the entire time. He lived in Las Vegas, I lived in Salt Lake so, we just texted and talked every chance we got. A few weeks after our first date, I got this crazy idea to drive to Vegas at 11 o’clock at night and surprise him. While I was on the phone, driving (with my headset on) I crashed after hitting black ice, spinning off the road and into a ditch 30 feet below, my car completely totaled. As soon as he found out what had happened, he jumped in his car and drove 7 plus hours through the snow and ice to get to me. We he finally arrived, he told me me how crazy in love he was and that my near death experience made him realize that I couldn’t live without me. Without this lucid moment he never would have been able to tell me that he loved me. We both knew we we were meant to be.

Two weeks later he proposed and though we thought initially we would get married in 5 or 6 months, we soon realized that was an absolutely ridiculous idea and instead decided to get married in a few weeks. We were so in love, there wasn’t any point in starting the new year without each other.

Everything fell perfectly into place. We really didn’t have to do much planning because whenever there was a need, there was someone there to help. Like magic. We called La Caille and asked about New Years Eve. They had had a couple cancel for that date just an hour before we called. I found my dress in a half hour. Brandon found his suit just as quickly and it fit him perfectly- also the very last one in the store! Our photographer was available, the florist and the videographer. All were available on such short notice. I was really blown away by the beauty of it all. We were so blessed.

From our first date to our wedding date was only 50 days. We planned every detail of our beautiful day in 2 weeks. We were and continue to be truly blessed in our love. We are so incredibly happy and so thankful for everyone that helped us on our special day. The florist, the photographer, the videographer and his team, etc were so amazing. All such wonderful people! We all have our “dream wedding” in mind, but mine surpassed everything I ever imagined.

  • Nothing Shallow Can Change Their Love For Each Other:
Christina is my sister and what is amazing about Christina and Brandon is how kind they are to each other. They are always gentle and considerate to each other. Watching how Brandon treats my sister is an example for me of how I should treat girls…I am convinced that nothing in the future will change his love for her – none of the shallow things in life can keep him from holding her hand at any chance he gets – not gaining weight, not older age, not lack of money, not snoring at night, not smells, not bad hair days, not anything that I can foresee – he seems to love her unconditionally. As a brother – it is one of the more beautiful things in life – to see a boy treat my sister like a queen.

  • Wow what an amazing venue, so inspired for my upcoming “Vintage” themed wedding this is truly gorgeous! Congrats to the lovely couple!

  • Hi Sarah & Christan. Brandon’s tie is Ben Sherman. He found it at a Marshalss in 2012. Good luck!

  • Can you please email me where to find this shirt/tie combo? Thanks!
