Handmade New South Wales Wedding

It’s always nice when we stumble upon a wedding that reminds us of what really matters — weddings full of loving glances between the bride and groom, an audience of the closest of family and friends, and a few pops of color here and there. Rosie and Josiah’s wedding has all of this and more, including a few unexpected guests in the form of roaming cows. Our thanks goes out to I Love Wednesdays for sending this wedding our way!

From the bride, Rosie: We met through a mutual friend one day as we all went down to the beach together. We were immediately attracted to each other and soon started going to the beach just the two of us. We started a close friendship before dating and then fell in love and became each other’s best friends.

Our wedding was a warm summer evening, shared with beautiful friends & family in a sparkling tent under the stars, surrounded by a magical setting of green hills, flowers, & curious cows. The flowers really were the hero of the day. They tied through every element of the day, and were our main source of decoration. There bright colours and wildflower look really helped to capture the natural, bohemian look we were after.

We did all of the styling ourselves with help from our bridesmaids for setting up. All vases, and decor were collected vintage pieces belonging to the bride. The children had a treasure hunt made by the bride. It entailed goodies hidden all over the field including little wooden painted signs hinting the secret locations.

From the photographer, Len of I Love Wednesdays: Rosie & Josiah’s wedding day was absolutely a day unlike any other. They wed on a friend’s property surrounded by a herd of cows, I’ve never quite seen anything like it and I don’t think I will again. The way they spoke about each other and looked at each other was absolutely wonderful. I’ve never seen two people have more of a glow when talking about each other. Rosie styled the wedding herself, created her wonderful invites and used her own vintage vases and jars for the flowers.
